Hay was announced as Bakersfield's goaltending coach on Sept. 6. He played six years professionally, including one with the Condors. Hay appeared in 44 games for the Condors in 2001-02, posting an 18-20-4 record with a 2.93 goals-against average and .903 save percentage. His goals-against average is sixth lowest in Condors history, while his save percentage is the fifth highest. He also recorded four shutouts in 2001-02, tied with Kevin St. Pierre for the most in team history.
The 32-year-old native from Scarborough, Ontario will work with the club at all home games and practices, while making selected nearby road trips during the season. Hay is also the full-time general manager of the Bakersfield Ice Sports Center, the Condors' practice facility.
Hay resides with his wife Stephanie and one-year-old daughter Elsie.
