Tuesday, July 15: Condors mascot Baby Cal, will be at Berkshire Elementary Summer School for their summer program, located at 3900 Berkshire Road, starting at 1:30 p.m. The students will learn about safety, get to try on protective hockey gear and play different games with Baby Cal.

Wednesday, July 16: The next Condors Care-A-Van will visit Taft, stopping at the Pizza Factory and the Walter Glenn Natatorium on Wednesday. The Condors will be at the Pizza Factory, located at 614 Center Street from noon to 1:30 p.m. Fans are welcome to swing by for lunch and donate new or gently used clothing and other goods to Goodwill. Those that donate items at the Care-A-Van will receive a voucher for free admission to a Condors game in October.

Afterwards, the Care-A-Van will move to the Natatorium located at 821 4th street from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Youth and adults can learn to shoot the puck in the Condors Inflatable Slapshot, while kids can play in the Condors bounce house, meet Condors mascot Baby Cal and win Condors gear.

Wednesday, July 16: Tune in to ESPN Radio 1230 as items are auctioned off for the Jimmy V foundation. The Bakersfield Condors donated two season tickets to be auctioned off in order to help raise funds for cancer research and awareness. Tune in to "There It Is!" the Jake Stevens Show from 7 to 9 a.m., "Your Radio Store" from noon to 3 p.m. and "Home Turf with Corey Costelloe," from 3 to 5 p.m. to bid on the Condors season tickets and other sports memorabilia that will be auctioned off at different times throughout the day.

Friday, July 18: The Condors will hold a "Select-A-Seat" event at Rabobank Arena from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to tour the arena with a Condors representative. Go ahead and get out your tape measurer to check the distance from the seat to concessions and restrooms, then plop down in the seat to feel how comfy it is and to check out the great view that could be yours for the 2008-09 season! And you can't use gas prices as an excuse not to come, since everyone who purchases a ticket plan at the event will receive a gift card for $10 in free gas! For further details call 324-PUCK (7825).

Tuesday, July 22: Condors mascot Baby Cal will visit McAuliffe Elementary School for their summer program, located at 8900 Westwold Drive, starting at 1:30 p.m. The Condors will be on hand to inform the kids about hockey and demonstrate the importance of sports safety by dressing students in hockey gear.

Thursday, July 31: The Condors Care-A- Van will travel to Frazier Park with Goodwill Industries for the Condors summer Care-A-Van. This road trip will be the third Care-A-Van of the summer that assists Goodwill in collecting donations and to spread the word about the upcoming season. The Care-A-Van will visit Camp Condor from 2 to 4 p.m. as well as Ace Hardware ( 3320 Mt Pinos Way) with a Condors player, mascot, games and prizes.
