This Week In Condorstown:
Tuesday, June 24: The first Care-A-Van of the summer will be making the trip up the hill to the city of
Tehachapi. From 10 a.m. to noon, the Condors will be at the
Tehachapi
Parks and Recreation Adventure Camp, located at
311 E. D Street. Day campers will learn to shoot from
Sean Venedam in the Condors Slapshot, mingle with Condors mascot
Baby
Cal and spin the prize wheel to win Condors gear.
Afterwards, look for the 30 foot inflatable player outside of Kelley's Cafe at
20424 Brian Way from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., where Venedam will be signing autographs, and the Condors will be collecting donations for Goodwill Industries and enjoying a great meal. The Care-A-Van assists Goodwill in collecting donations and brings Condors hockey to the
Kern
County communities. Anyone who donates to Goodwill at either Care-A-Van location will receive a voucher for admission to a Condors game, additionally those that donate at Kelley's Cafe will receive a free dessert.
Wednesday, June 25: The Condors will hold a Media Roundtable at Tailgaters Sports Grill from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Condors speakers will include Head Coach Marty Raymond and President Matthew Riley. Tailgaters is located at
900 Truxtun Ave # 110. The roundtable is exclusive to members of the media who should RSVP to 324- PUCK (7825).
Thursday, June 26: Condors Mascot Colonel Claw'd will be on hand at the Valley Achievement Center, at 2 p.m., to present a check to the organization for $31,600, the amount raised at the Country Music Jerseys Off Our Back Auction on March 29.

Monday, June 30: Condors F Andrew Ianiero will be the guest reader at Family Story Time at the Beale Library, located at
701 Truxtun Avenue. Starting at 10:30 a.m., Ianiero will read to children and parents while Colonel Claw'd sits and listens with the families. Don't forget that anyone who participates in the Summer Reading Program and reads 10 books (or has 10 books read to them) will receive a voucher for free admission to a Condors game.
Wednesday, July 2: A member of the Condors will be a guest speaker at the Taft Rotary Club at noon. The Taft Rotary Club meets at Jo's Restaurant located at
510 Kern Street. The Condors will be speaking about the upcoming season and the team's community involvement including the Condors Care-A-Van, which visits Taft on July 16.
July 1 - July 4: The Bakersfield Condors Booster Club is again selling fireworks as a fundraiser at the corner of Coffee and
Riverlakes Drive from noon on July 1 until midnight on July 4. Stop by to pick-up all of your fireworks for the 4th of July and help support the Bakersfield Booster Club.
