Condors Doubleheader Friday and Saturday

Condors to visit NOR Winter Camp Thursday

Thursday, Jan. 3: Player (TBD) and mascot Colonel Claw'd will attend the North of the River Winter Camp, located at the Greenacres Community Center ( 2114 Calloway Drive) from 1 to 2 p.m. to talk to kids about sports safety and will also challenge the kids in a game of broom hockey.

Thursday, Jan. 3: The Condors Coach's Show will air live from the Holiday Inn Select from 6 to 7 p.m. You can catch Head Coach Marty Raymond and Condors players, along with the Voice of the Condors Kevin Bartl on the All-New KGEO AM1230.

Friday, Jan. 4: The Condors will take on the reining Kelly Cup Champion the Idaho Steelheads. One hundred lucky fans will walk away with one of these great gifts such as Hannah Montana Singing Doll and Pop Star Stage, Transformers Unleashed - Optimus Prime or Guitar Hero III from the My 45 What U Didn't Get for Christmas Giveaway. Doors open at 6 p.m. Puck drops at 7 p.m.

Saturday, Jan. 5: The Condors will meet the Steelheads for the second game of the Condors doubleheader. Diego from the children's T.V. show "Go Diego Go" will be visiting The Nest, to mingle and take photos with fans courtesy of Bright House Networks & La Preciosa 105.3. All fans in attendance will receive a Condors poster. It will also be the third Condors Kids Club Night of the season. Doors open at 11 a.m. Puck drops at noon.

Holiday Season In Review:

Saturday, Dec. 15: Mascot Baby Cal and Condors front office staff members helped Stay Focused Ministries distribute the toys collected during the Condors Toy Drive on Dec. 12. The Condors annual Toy Drive has brought in nearly 1,000 toys in its four-year history.

Wednesday, Dec. 19: Condors players Todd Griffith, Mike Hofstrand, Andrew Ianiero, Evan Kotsopoulos, Eric Sonnenberg and Kevin Truelson along with mascot Baby Cal brought holiday cheer to the children in the pediatric unit of Memorial Hospital. They brought the children Condors goodies, visited with the kids, took pictures and signed autographs.

Wednesday, Dec. 19: Mascot Baby Cal helped distribute hundreds of toys to the children of Southeast Bakersfield at the Corporation for Better Housing's Christmas Toy Giveaway.

Thursday, Dec. 20: Mascot Baby Cal served as a Salvation Army bell ringer in front of the Sam's Club for their annual holiday red kettle drive. All proceeds go to provide meals, shelter and clothing for less-fortunate individuals.

Condorstown Connection:

Click here to vote for the Condors logo which is currently pitted against the Augusta Linx in the third round (semifinals) of the ECHL Logo Contest. The Condors were victorious over the South Carolina Stingrays in the first round and advanced to the semifinals with a triumph over the Dayton Bombers.

The cost for the 2007-08 10th Anniversary Season is just $25, and membership includes tickets to four games (listed below), one- of-a-kind opportunities to meet Condors players, access to the Flashco Kids Zone and exclusive prizes provided by the Bakersfield Californian, Bright House Networks and Wells Fargo Bank. Have more than one child? Don't worry, the Condors have a new Sibling Special, which allows for every child, after the first, to sign-up for only $15 all season long!
