Condors in the Community:Baby Cal to serve as Celebrity Reader at Old River Elementary

This Week In Condorstown:

 

Tuesday, Mar. 9

The Condors return to home ice to host the Las Vegas Wranglers at 7 p.m. at Rabobank Arena for a Canned Food Collection, sponsored by My 45, La Preciosa 105.3 and Payment Systems Worldwide. Bring two non-perishable food items and get in for just $1. All the food will be donated to the Kern County Food Bank and other local charities. In the 11 years of this event, more than 14,000 pounds of food have been collected by the Condors and their fans, including 2,020 pounds last season alone.

Wednesday, Mar. 10    
The Condors and Wranglers return to the ice at 7 p.m. for High School/College Student ID Night, sponsored by 106.1 KRAB Radio. Get $1 admission by showing your student ID at the box office.

Thursday, Mar. 11       
The Condors Coach's Show, hosted by the Voice of the Condors Kevin Bartl, will air live at Tailgaters from 5-6 p.m on ESPN Radio 1230. The show will include Head Coach Marty Raymond and player (TBD).

Friday, Mar. 12

Baby Cal has a double-billing in the morning. First, Baby Call will initiate a Condors fundraiser at Veterans Elementary, located at 6301 Old Farm Rd, from 9:15-10:15 a.m. Next, Baby Call will head south to act as a Celebrity Reader at Old River Elementary, located at 9815 Campus Park Dr. from 10:30-11:30. Baby Cal will act out one of her favorite books to a few of the classrooms at the school.

 

Saturday, Mar. 13

Colonel Claw'd and the Condors Slapshot Booth will help kick off Northwest Baseball's season from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. The Colonel will help celebrate Northwest Baseball's Opening Day, which takes place at Sam Lynn Ballpark on Chester Avenue.

 

Monday, Mar. 15

The Annual  Condors Ladies Night returns to Rabobank Arena from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Ladies, here is your chance to get up close and personal with some of your favorite players. Get tours of the arena, learn about the game and have dinner with the players. Head Coach Marty Raymond will also be there to talk Condors hockey.

 

Tickets are selling out fast, and space is limited to 60, so sign up today by calling the Condors office at 324-PUCK (7825) and asking for Greg Lowe or Clay Waddel.

 

Sign up for the 6th Annual Hockey-Thon

The Condors are proud to host the 6th Annual Condors Fighting Cancer Hockey-Thon, to benefit Links for Life, the weekend of March 19-20. The event includes 24-plus hours of ice hockey and auctions to help benefit Links for Life.

 

To participate in the Hockey-Thon, players can register by clicking here, then printing out the donations sheet and begin collecting pledges. A minimum of $200 is required to play. All participants will play in several games during the event and receive two tickets to the Condors games on Mar. 19 and Mar. 20. The top three pledge collectors will split 15 lower level tickets to a Los Angeles Kings game, with transportation included. The first 200 sign-ups will receive a free 6th Annual Condors Fighting Cancer Hockey-Thon jersey.
