The week that was

It was a busy week in Condorstown on the community side. The 10th Annual Tip-A-Condor kicked things off on Tuesday at Rabobank Arena. The entire team participated in a night of serving, dining and joyous entertainment to help benefit the Kern Country Shrine Club. D Eric Regan rocked out at karaoke, throwing in a few dance moves during his rendition of Michael Jackson's "Thriller." LW Ryan Donally doubled as server and unofficial team spokesman, going table to table to meet fans and chat with them. Auction items like a Timo Pielmeier jersey office chair and Matt Pope's prison jersey from the 2008-09 season were among the more sought after items during the auction.

Events later in the week included a Valley Bible Fellowship Condors fundraiser kick off, in which forwards Maxime Macenauer and Mathieu Aubin visited a few classrooms to talk about growing up playing hockey in Canada. They were joined by Colonel Claw'd, who was also undoubtedly a big hit.

The week concluded with a pair of readings at elementary schools, including Miller Elementary and Munsey Elementary. Baby Cal entertained the students by acting out one her favorite books, We're Going on a Bear Hunt.
