Teddy Bear Toss Recap

The Bakersfield Condors held their 9th Annual Teddy Bear Toss on Saturday, Nov. 24, a yearly tradition in which fans are not only invited but encouraged to bring stuffed animals to throw onto the ice after the Condors first goal. The sold out crowd of 8,895, second largest in Condors history, only had to wait six minutes and forty seconds before Tim Konsorada scored the Condors first goal. After the goal, the crowd tossed 7,026 stuffed animals onto the ice, the second most in the Teddy Bear Toss's History.

The stuffed animals were collected by the United Way of Kern County to facilitate the distribution to a number of local organizations. The stuffed animals will benefit thousands of children in crisis, not just during this holiday season, but throughout the year. During the nine-year history of the Teddy Bear Toss, the Condors have collected more than 44,800 stuffed animals. For the full recap of the Teddy Bear Toss click here.
