On Saturday the Condors attended Northwest Baseball's Opening Day Ceremonies at Sam Lynn Ballpark. Young baseball players and family members won prizes on the Condors prize wheel and scored goals on the inflatable Slapshot.

Also throughout last week, Condors mascot Colonel Claw'd acted out scenes from Dr. Seuss books at North Beardsley, Roosevelt and Virginia Avenue Elementary Schools, in celebration of Dr. Seuss's birthday. On Saturday afternoon, the Colonel attended Read Across Bakersfield, held at the Fox Theater, there he greeted the children giving out hugs, high-fives and Condors goodies.
