Condors to Reward Academic Excellence at Golden Hills Elementary

This Week in Condorstown:

Thursday, Jan. 24: Tune in to 29 Daybreak to see Condors players Mark Derlago, Reagan Leslie, Eric Sonnenberg and others, from 5 to 7 a.m., as they discuss Condors hockey, their lives off the ice and the upcoming Ladies Night.

Thursday, Jan. 24: The Condors Coach's Show will air live from the Holiday Inn Select from 6 to 7 p.m. You can catch Head Coach Marty Raymond and All-Star D Kevin Truelson, along with the Voice of the Condors Kevin Bartl on the All-New KGEO AM1230.

Friday, Jan. 25: Mascot Baby Cal and Community Relations Manager Brian Marsh will attend an assembly at the Golden Hills Elementary School at 9 a.m. as a reward for students on the honor roll. Golden Hills Elementary School, located at 20215 Park Road in Tehachapi participates in the Condors T.H.I.N.K. program (Turning Hockey Into New Knowledge).

Friday, Jan. 25: The Condors return to home ice to face off against the Phoenix RoadRunners on Friday, Jan. 25. That night, the ZOOperstars return to The Nest, presented by KGET-TV 17, 98.5 The Fox and California Water Service. The ZOOperstars are 10-foot tall animal caricatures of famous sports stars, such as Snail Earnhardt, Jr., LeBronco James, Peyton Manatee, Monkey Mantle, Donovan McCrabb, and Deion Salamanders. The ZOOperstars are an all-time Condorstown favorite you won't want to miss! Doors open at 6 p.m. Puck drops at 7 p.m.

Saturday, Jan. 26: The Condors take on the defending Kelly Cup Champion Idaho Steelheads at The Nest for Zamboni Piggy Bank Giveaway brought to you by Pirate Radio 93.1 and the Bakersfield Californian. The first 2,000 kids 12-and- under will receive a Condors Zamboni Piggy Bank. Doors open at 6 p.m. Puck drops at 7 p.m.

Thursday, Jan. 31: Condors D Jason Goulet will attend the Beardsley Intermediate School Career Day, from 12:25 to 2:10 p.m., at 1001 Roberts Lane. Goulet will speak about athletics as a career, answer student questions and sign autographs for young fans.

Monday, Feb. 4: Ladies Night is back in Condorstown. Participants will receive a tour of the Condors locker room, players' bench and rink as well as enjoy a catered dinner, receive a course in hockey 101 and take part in a Q & A session with the players. Everyone will also receive a commemorative Ladies Night t-shirt, take part in a raffle for other great Condors gear and will be able to watch the Condors game the following night from the Budweiser 5-Hole Suite on the glass. Registration is just $40 for season ticket holders and $50 for non-season ticket holders, and the deadline to sign up is Feb. 1. For more information, click here.
