From: Cathy
Comments: Oh come on!! I know you can't answer this or response..but I gotta say! I don't think the Ducks are playing nice with us..they "take" our players..they don't "replace" our players. They "say" they're sending players back..and we never see them. Example: Levasseur was doing a good job..they tell us Timo is on his way back..we release Levassuer..head out for TOUGH series against Idaho..and BOOM..no Timo. So, what, we basically have Sims (nice kid..) who has played in ONE game..and an emergency goalie?? I looked up the emergency goalie..NOT EVEN ANY STATS attached to him!

Mailbag Response:

A: Well, a couple things, Cathy. Believe me, we feel your frustration. But technically speaking, the players the Ducks are taking are not really "ours", they are Ducks prospects. And while it would be nice to keep them for the whole season, they are their players and ultimately have to do what's best for their organization and their development.

The Timo situation is a unique one... you wouldn't expect Anaheim to play last night with just one goaltender would you? Even the Condors signed an emergency back-up for our game (and emergency back-ups rarely have real professional experience - they are just Emergency Back-Ups). The Ducks are an NHL team who just traded their back-up, it only makes sense for them to bring up one of their minor league goalies to fill in.

And for the record, I think Sims did pretty good last night!
