Mailbag Response:
A: Ron, we did not post the openly disrespectful article that referred to the Moose as having "rescued" Dan Sexton from us. We also didn't think it was insulting to refer to Sexton's jump from the ECHL to the NHL in the span of two weeks as going from "rags to riches." Afterall, the riches were not coming to Danny from playing in the ECHL!
And to address your other question, Manitoba is not an affiliate of ours, but since this article is really about the Ducks, who are our affiliate, sending Dan Sexton to an AHL club, we thought it fit in that category. Probably more than it would have fit in Condors in Cyberspace since he hasn't been in Condorstown in over two months. Plus, after a quick search, we didn't find any other article that seemed fitting enough talking about Sexton's reassignment, so we posted it.
Also, seen as how the Moose utilize about 10-20 players a year from ECHL rosters, it's important to note that Manitoba probably would not openly disrespect the ECHL... however, the same can't be said about the writers at the Winnipeg Free Press, though.
We thought about not posting the article, since they wrote this one too, but it had some good quotes from Dan and accurately described why he was sent down, even though he's been great up with the Ducks and probably deserved to stick around with the Big Club.
Hope that answers your questions Ron!
