The Condors and Falcons battled through the first period of play to a scoreless tie. Yutaka Fukufuji got the nod in net for Bakersfield, and stopped six shots in the opening frame. Jake Moreland made 10 saves in net for Fresno. Five power plays were handed out in the first.

Bakersfield (5-10-3, 13 points) took the lead early in the second period with Tim Konsorada's power play tally at 4:16. It started a series of three goals for the Condors over a four-and-a-half minute span. Kevin Truelson, the trailer on a 3-on-2, buried his fourth of the season, shorthanded at 7:31. Todd Griffith then lit the lamp for the first time this season at 8:47. Penalties piled up in the stanza as well, with 13 penalties handed out, and it stayed 3-0 heading into the third.

The Falcons (6-6-3, 15 points) fans were not denied on their Teddy Bear Toss Night, as Igor Gongalsky punched in his fifth of the season at 4:57 in the third to put Fresno on the board. Bakersfield was undaunted, however, and responded with a five goal explosion in the final period. Sean Venedam, Spencer Carbery, Griffith (his second of the game), Andrew Ianiero and Konsorada (his second of the game as well) helped the Condors reach a season high with eight tallies in the game. Evan Kotsopoulos had three assists in the period for the Condors. Fukufuji finished the night with 27 saves for his fourth victory of the season.
