STOCKTON, Calif.  - The Bakersfield Condors, official ECHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks, defeated the Stockton Thunder 3-1, Thursday night at Stockton Arena in preseason action. D Sasha Pokulok, LW Bobby Bolt and C Christer Andersson tallied goals for the Condors, while G Timo Pielmeier made 26 saves to earn the victory.

While on a two-man advantage in the opening period, Pokulok scored the first goal of the 2009-10 Condors preseason with a slap shot from the point. F Logan MacMillan and D Shaun Fisher earned the assists on the goal.  Stockton evened the score at one when former Condor Steve Slonina was rewarded a penalty shot at 5:16 of the first period.  Slonina snuck a forehand through the legs of Pielmeier for Stockton's only tally of the night.

The Condors regained the lead with 3:36 remaining in the first period. F Matthew Myers stole the puck along the boards and found Bolt in the slot for a one-timer past Bryan Pitton to make it 2-1.

Following a scoreless second period, Andersson increased the Condors lead to 3-1 with a goal from in-close with 8:56 remaining in the third period. MacMillan and Pokulok picked up the assists.  Pielmeier had to be sharp in the third period, stopping 12 shots, including a breakaway and a few shots from close range.

These two teams will do it again on Saturday at Rabobank Arena at 7 p.m. It will be the Condors' final preseason game before their Home Opener on October 16 against Ontario.
