Condors Fall to Grizzlies, 6-3
Next home game is Saturday, Nov. 7 vs. Las Vegas
Bakersfield, Calif. - The Utah Grizzlies (3-2-0-0, 6pts) scored twice in all three periods and skated to a 6-3 win over the Bakersfield Condors (4-3-0-0, 8pts) in front of 5,074 fans at Rabobank Arena on Friday night.

lessardAfter a bit of a slow offensive start, it was Bakersfield that opened up the scoring. Rookie RW Dan Sexton notched his 4th of the season, redirecting a centering feed from C MacGregor Sharp to make it 1-0 at 9:20. Less than 90 seconds later, however, Utah tied it up.  LW Ryan Kinasewich netted his ECHL-best 8th of the season to make it 1-1. F James Sixsmith was left alone in front of Condors G Timo Pielmeier, and when he gathered in a rebound he tucked it home for the 2-1 Grizzlies lead at 16:38.

Bakersfield tied the game up close to the midway point of the middle stanza. D Sasha Pokulok rifled home his team-leading 5th of the season at 9:06 to make it 2-2. But once against the Grizzlies answered quickly, scoring at 10:17 and again at 15:36 to regain the lead and make it 4-2, after two.

Utah added two more in the third period to keep the Condors at bay. C Matt Caria scored his 2nd of the season at 5:19 to push the lead to 5-2 for the Grizzlies. When D Eric Regan snapped home his 3rd of the season at 10:13 on the power play, it gave the Condors life and cut the lead to 5-3. But an empty net tally sealed the win.

G Parker Van Buskirk picked up the win, stopping 25 of 28 Condors shots. Pielmeier earned the loss with 16 saves.
