Ducks recall Pielmeier
 
Rookie netminder heads up to the NHL
 

ANAHEIM, Calif. - The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled goaltender Timo Pielmeier from the Bakersfield Condors, Anaheim's development affiliate in the ECHL.

timo all-starPielmeier, 20, did not make an appearance for Anaheim following his original Feb. 25 recall from Bakersfield. Pielmeier has played 42 games for Bakersfield in his rookie season, posting a 20-16-5 record with a 3.09 goals-against average (GAA) and .886 save percentage (SV%). He currently ranks tied for second in the ECHL in wins and ranks third among all rookies in GAA. The 6-0, 197-pound netminder posted a season-high 34 saves in a 6-5 overtime loss at Las Vegas on Feb. 12. Pielmeier was named the ECHL's Goaltender of the Month in November, going 6-1-0 with a 2.07 GAA and .925 SV% during that span.

 
The Condors have added G Doug Melvin as emergency back-up goaltender for tonight's game in Idaho. 

 

ON THE DOCKET:

The Condors take on Idaho in a three-game series on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. All three games start at 6:10 p.m. (Pacific).

They return to Mercy & Memorial Hospitals Home Ice on March 9 and 10 to host the Las Vegas Wranglers. Individual game tickets are on sale and may be purchased through the Rabobank Arena Box Office, which is regularly open from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday with extended hours on game days.
