NFL QB and Bakersfield native David Carr in Condorstown Friday; Quick Change on Saturday
Carr to talk about his journey to the NFL through his faith
 

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Condors return to the Mercy and Memorial Hospitals Home Ice at Rabobank Arena for a big weekend against the Victoria Salmon Kings. On Friday, a fans will have a chance to meet New York Giants QB David Carr, plus receive Anaheim Ducks Prospects Poster. For Saturday, Quick Change, from NBC's America's Got Talent ,will perform. Both games begin at 7 p.m. The doors open at 6 p.m.

Courtesy of Bright House Networks, KERI 1410 AM and the Junior Condors, Bakersfield's own David Carr will make a special appearance for Friday's game. He will be available before the game during the first and second intermissions for pictures and autographs at the Photo Booth on the concourse. Following the game, Carr will talk to fans about his faith and how it helped him on his journey to becoming an NFL quarterback. Carr's career began in Bakersfield, where he was a star for Stockdale High School. As a highly touted college recruit, he joined the Fresno State squad. Carr's outstanding performance in college led to the Houston Texans drafting Carr first overall in the 2002 NFL Draft. In 2008, Carr earned a Super Bowl ring as a quarterback for the New York Giants.

 

All fans in attendance will receive a Anaheim Ducks Prospects Poster, featuring Anaheim Ducks prospects that have played for the Condors this season, including RW Dan Sexton, G Justin Pogge, G Timo Pielmeier, D Eric Regan, LW Shawn Weller, C MacGregor Sharp, LW Kyle Calder and others.

 

Friday also marks Bright House Networks Family Night. Bring your BHN cable bill or envelope to the Rabobank Arena box office and receive $7 admission to the evening's game. Plus, it's Bright House Networks, Bakersfield Californian and Wells Fargo Condors Kids Club Night. Present your Kids Club badge at the box office and receive free admission to the game.

On Saturday, the Condors welcome back Quick Change, presented by ABC23, KERN 1180. The magical duo from NBC's America's Got Talent will perform during the first intermission. Expect the unexpected as the couple switches from costume to costume in split seconds right before your very eyes. It's a performance that received a standing ovation last season in Condorstown, and is a must-see. You can find Quick Change at the Photo Booth during the second intermission.


Several local schools are participating on Saturday. Highland High Band will entertain the crowd from the top of section 101 during the first intermission. The North High Cheerleaders will also perform above section 101 throughout the game. Come to the game early to watch students from Discovery Elementary take part in a game of broomball on the Rabobank Arena ice.

 

Following every game, Condors players will be at the Bakersfield Marriott Autograph Booth, located on the arena concourse behind section 108.  D Eric Regan and F Matt McCue will be at the booth on Friday, while F Mathieu Aubin and C Adam Naglich will be signing on Saturday. The players will arrive at the booth approximately 20 minutes after the conclusion of the game to meet fans and sign autographs.

Individual game tickets are on sale and may be purchased through the Rabobank Arena Box Office, which is open from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday with extended hours on game days.
