Bakersfield adds rookie from Minnesota-Mankato
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors announced two separate transactions today, as announced by Head Coach Marty Raymond. F Matt Tyree was signed to a contract and F Tom Boudreau was released.
Tyree, 25, spent the last two seasons with Minnesota State University at Mankato. He appeared in just five games this season, registering one goal. The 6-foot-1-inch, 210-pound center also had one goal and 51 penalty minutes in 25 games at Mankato in 2006-07.
Boudreau, 24, had five points (1g-4a) in 24 games with Bakersfield.
The Condors have just two games remaining in the regular season, and need one point to secure one of only two remaining playoff spots in the National Conference. They are in action Thursday night from Phoenix; game time is 7:11 pm. After that they travel to Las Vegas for a 7:05 pm showdown Friday night.
All Condors games, home and away, can be heard live on the new ESPN Radio 1230 AM, with "Condors Countdown" starting 15 minutes prior to faceoff.
