Condors reveal “The Greatest Jerseys in the World”
CONDORSTOWN, Calif. – The Bakersfield Condors, ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers, unveiled two new jerseys, designed by Reebok-CCM, to debut in the 2013-14 season. Joining the two sweaters will be the grey “B” jersey from last season which will be worn as an alternate sweater throughout the season.

“We consider these to be the greatest jerseys in the world,” said Condors Team President Matthew Riley. “These are the most expensive game jerseys in the history of the ECHL and possibly all of hockey. It’s a new paradigm this season on the ice, and these jerseys are part of that. We think our fans, players, and feathered friends will welcome them with open wings.”
For the first time since the 2004-05 season, the Condors will wear a
different black jersey. The jersey features the Condors primary logo as the crest, has a sublimated wing pattern in “Dazzle” metallic fabric down the sleeves, and under arm gusset Poly Mesh for ventilation. Other design elements include a Nickel Silver piping accenting a Harvard Red band around the bottom of the jersey. Inside the band, “BAKERSFIELD” is embroidered in Nickel Metallic. This jersey will be worn on the road for the first half of the season and at home for the second half.
The new white jersey replaces the style worn by the team since
2007-08 and features many of the same design elements as the new
black jersey. Differences include the wing pattern on the shoulders, a different wing pattern on the sleeves, and the team’s secondary bird logo as the crest. The wing designs are done in the sublimated “Dazzle” Metallic fabric and the bottom Harvard Red band has “BAKERSFIELD” embroidered in Nickel Metallic as well. These jerseys will be worn at home for the first half of the season and on the road for the second half.
The final jerseys are the result of a seven-month process through which dozens of jersey designs were considered and modified numerous times. It is the culmination of a two-week social media jersey tease through which fans got to see a snippet a day as well.
“As the authentic outfitter to the ECHL, CCM is proud to work with the member teams on their new uniform programs,” said Director of Softgoods Ross McCracken. “Working with the Bakersfield Condors allowed CCM to explore new areas of design and application of performance materials to help the Condors tell their brand story. The end result is a progressive uniform design that the players and many fans of the Condors will be very proud to wear.”
Fans are invited down to the Condors office during business hours to see the new jerseys and can pre-order them online with expected arrival by the pre-season game on Sunday, Oct. 13 at 4 p.m.

Pre-Season action slated in Condorstown on Sun. 10/13
The Condors announced their pre-season slate of games earlier today on Twitter and Facebook, with Bakersfield hosting one game against the San Francisco Bulls at Rabobank Arena on Sunday, Oct. 13 at 4 p.m. Following the game, the team will have its first Skate with the Team.
Bakersfield will begin the pre-season with two games on the road, Thursday, Oct. 10 at 7:30 p.m. in San Francisco at the Cow Palace, and Friday, Oct. 11 at 7:30 p.m. in Stockton at Stockton Arena.
