Condors Weekly

CONDORSTOWN – The Bakersfield Condors ended last week on a high note with a victory on the road against the Stockton Thunder, but sit in 9th place in the Western Conference with a 2-10-0-1 record and 5 points in the standings. They sit three points behind Utah and Las Vegas, who are both tied for 7th in the table.

Last Week: 1-2-0-0 against division rivals
The Condors fell 6-2 on Field Trip Day to Stockton, and 4-2 Saturday against Ontario despite a 33-20 shot advantage on the night.
They rebounded in a see-saw affair in Stockton on Sunday with a 4-3 shootout victory. G Chet Pickard stopped all five shootout shooters and LW Chris Collins scored twice in regulation. C Chase Schaber scored for the second time in three games as well, with his goal tying it up late in the third.
 
NOTES:
  • G Chet Pickard started both games on the weekend as the team’s lone contracted goaltender. G Andy Chiodo left the team to pursue an overseas offer on Friday.
  • After going 11 games before scoring his first goal of the season, LW Chris Collins scored three times in two games last weekend.
  • The Condors have not been out-shot since Nov. 3 in Alaska. During that stretch the Condors have out-shot their opponent five times and tied once.
  • RW Jordan Knackstedt is 2-for-2 in shootout attempts this season.
  • Bakersfield out-shot their weekend opponents by a combined 74-48, including a season-high 41 shots Sunday in Stockton.
  • Collins’ goal with the man advantage Sunday snapped a 0-for-28 stretch for Bakersfield’s power play.
  • Bakersfield ranks 6th in the ECHL with an average attendance of 5,449.
