Beautiful Bakersfield Award Letter »
Just a quick e-mail to congratulate the team, yourself, and your staff on a great week. My wife Natasha, myself ,and our three kids attended Friday night's game. What a great game! It took my kids about three hours just to calm down after we got home. I know Saturday we had a loss, however a crowd of over 7,000 is awesome. - Steve. H I would like to say that, on behalf of myself and my wife Sara, we had a great time at your facility back on January 9th. Everyone was very nice, and we really enjoyed our experience. So thanks to everyone we met, we look forward to coming back to a game when we come back to Bakersfield...It was well worth the 4 hour drive from Vegas to see some good Hockey! -- Jeremy D. Kudos to the Condors on the signing of Kevin St. Jacques. I enjoyed watching him play last year. His professionalism both on and off the ice are a true reflection of this organization! -- John K. For a couple of years I had two front row season tickets, went to every home game and a few away games, then became dissatisfied with the play and didn't buy season tickets...I really believe what you have said and feel like you want Bakersfield to have a winning team and one that comes to play every night win or lose. This year has been great. I really like the level of play this year and the attitude of the coaches and the team...I know the fans in Bakersfield see this never give up and give all you've got attitude. Bakersfield will support a team that shows up like this team does every week...The whole Condors Association does a great job for this community and fans...Thank you for not giving up, re-signing this coaching staff, and the team we have. -- Thomas E. Thank you so much for doing the right thing and returning the coaching/ recruiting/ scouting machine!!! They've done everything the fans, and I believe you as well, asked of them. I'm already looking forward to next season - I'm not saying the rest of this year isn't going to be great, but I realize it is a building year, and the best is yet to come. Thank You!! Thank You!! -- Debi C.
I want to thank you for stepping up to the plate and following through on your commitment to Bakersfield Hockey. Mr. Raymond has done everything he was asked to do and then some. Thank you Mr. Fleisig for making a lot of STH's in CondorsTown very, very happy. Marty, Paul and Bob are the best thing that ever happened to Bako hockey. They are the triple threat to the rest of the ECHL. -- Diane C. I have been a big fan of minor league hockey ever since my first Condors game so many years ago which I think may have been the first year in the Garden. Over that tenure, I have been critical and even ended up not renewing my season seats due to the fact that we have not fielded a competitive team. This year you have surpassed my wildest dreams. I, as a fan, only asked for a team to play for all 60 minutes with passion and drive, and you not only have provided me and many others that, but also a winning record thus far this season. It has been a great pleasure to have a team here in Bakersfield that we as a community can be proud of. -- Chuck H. We are seeing the best hockey in the league, and far and above anything we've ever witnessed in Bakersfield. It took most of us about 2 months to realize this was not a dream, and that the professionals out on the ice are our team - not the opposing team. Seriously, at times, I am still amazed that a team from Bakersfield is passing, scoring, defending, and consistently winning!!!! What a pleasure to watch! -- Debbie C.
I'm very impressed with the Condors this season so far, they have won more games this year than last year and we have 31 more games to go. I am also looking forward to next season and would like to see Marty Ramond, Paul Willett and Bob Bartlett with the team next year. And I would love to see the team sign as many of the players on this roster as they can. I've been talking to some former season ticket holders and bought 10 tickets in section 105 for them to come to the game Friday night against Long Beach. I'm hoping that they will start coming to the games in the future and support the Condors...This team never gives up they usually give you 60 minutes of good hockey and then some. -- Bill V.
Just wanted to drop you a line and thank you for giving Bakersfield a quality team this year.....I know in the past most fans expressed mostly negative sentiments, so I didn't want you to think your efforts are going unnoticed. Thanks again. -- William M. Just wanted to let you know how excited we are about our Condor's this year. Some I know were getting a little 'antsy' when we went into cruise control for a couple of weeks, but this 6-0-1 road trip should put their fears to rest. This team is the real deal. I and many of my Condor buddies really appreciate the way you have stood by this team. This may be the year when all your investment of blood, sweat, tears and money pays off with the big prize. Even if we don't go all the way to the top, it won't be because this team didn't give 110% or because Marty Raymond didn't put his heart and soul into this team. It also won't be because our majority owner didn't stand behind them all the way. Thanks for all your hard work Jonathon! -- Chuck A.
I think that Colonel Claw'd and Baby Cal are the 2 most entertaining mascots I have seen in a long time. My children love seeing them at every game. The players are awesome, the employees are great, Everything is so much more then we ever expected...YOU ALL KEEP US COMING BACK FOR MORE!! We do miss Paul Rosebush though. - Jennifer K. Thanks for an excellent product in 2004-2005. We have always enjoyed our season ticket relationship with the team and the organization but this has been a special year. So no matter how the post season turns out, we wanted to take this opportunity to tell you and all your staff ........Thanks! PS..We want to give a special salute to whomever it is that gives life to Colonel Claude. With his antics and body language he or she has created a "personality" the Condors can be proud of. - Troy and Donna H. Just wanted to let you know how much fun my son had participating in the Kids Club this year. The Kids Club table was the first thing he visited when we arrived at the arena before the games and he always enjoyed hanging out with the staff there. He was also so pleased to be a part of the Ultimate Kids Club activity at the last game, and the signed puck from Fukufuji was the best! Thanks so much for a great experience! - Lisa A. I was at Saturday's game with 2 of my sons and their cousin. I enjoyed the game, the two middle boys enjoyed the fisticuffs, and my youngest was crazy for SpongeBob. Couldn't have asked for a better evening! - Tim K. Just a note to tell you how much we have enjoyed going to your games. We are new fans to hockey and have only been to 4 games this season as its a long drive from Porterville but worth the drive, as this is a great night out for the family. -- Brad H. I just want to say thank you again for setting me up on the two sweat shirts I bought from you at the Saturday game. My kids were so happy that it almost felt like Christmas. Great service and help like yours is what makes us proud to be part of the Condors' family -- Stan
Thank you, we had a wonderful time Saturday night at the Condors' Game! The Club Room was very nice and our seats were terrific. Many of the attendees had never been to a hockey game before and enjoyed the action up close. I know that it won't be the last time for some of them. It was very nice working with you; you made everything very easy. Thanks again for everything. -- Margaret N. I just wanted to say “THANK YOU” on behalf of my students. They thoroughly enjoyed themselves at the game. Thanks again for everything. -- Kay D. I just wanted to thank you again and the ease in which we were able to obtain the tickets at Will-Call. We had a great time - the seats were good and again we were impressed with the Condor play and how exemplarily their conduct was versus the shabby conduct of the Las Vegas team. -- Gill & Deanna E.
The field trip was great!!! My students still have not stopped talking about it. Several of my students had never been to a hockey game. The loved it. It was a great incentive for students to do all their work required to go on the field trip. I did not tell them what we were going to see, just that we were going to the Garden in Bakersfield. Boy, were they excited when they walked in on Thursday and saw me, their teacher, with a Bakersfield Condors jersey on. Great game. We will all enjoy our Carl Jr.'s super star burger too. Thanks again. Can't wait until next year. -- Andrea T. Thank you so very much for joining Loudon School’s Celebrity Read Day. You were all such a huge success, which impacted our students so very much! It is such a thrill for them to see people of your caliber take the time to read to them. From all of us, THANK YOU! -- Mary Jo K. I just wanted to take a minute to let you know how much I appreciate the involvement of the Condors organization in the community. The amount of time, money, and effort you put into charitable causes makes me very proud to be a season ticket holder. When I read about the Hockey-Thon, I wasn't surprised at all that the organization is getting behind such a worthy cause. But as a breast cancer surivivor, I just want to say a big THANK YOU!!!! for supporting Kevin Barrett in this effort - you guys totally rock! -- Debi C. From my position as a Christian ministering to and through sports in the former Soviet Union, I simply want to thank you, the Condors owners, players, and fans, for encouraging such endeavors as "Jocko's Jackpot". Some of my inspiration comes from knowing that many of "my people" (sportsmen and women in the USA) are actively pursuing ways to help the less fortunate. My spirit and will to continue these ministries is GREATLY strengthened through knowing of these other efforts!!! -- Rich S.
Dear Brett and Luis: Thank you for coming and reading to our class. You guys were cool and I like the story. Brett next time you come remember not to wear your hat in class -- Megan I really like your team, I go to almost all of your games. I wish you never left until a week. I really enjoyed what you guys were talking about. I want you guys to win even more games. I think I’ve seen one of you two get into a fight with someone before. If was fun. I hope you guys come next year to Celebrity Read Aloud. Bye -- Mindy Thank you again for the wonderful visit. All of our students learned a lot and had so much fun. The information booklets are good too. We love watching you guys -- Laurie
Of the various hockey (mostly ECHL) websites I visit, I think you have one of the best on the internet. Although a little ‘cluttered’, I like the way you show the season schedule (it’s nice to track the results of previous games as well as those upcoming); I like the “Where are they now” link; the link to previous polls taken; and the way you portray your team roster with photos, etc. Too many sites (Aces included) are strictly flash and smoke with no substance or personality. Your website shows someone in your organization realizes the importance of how you present your organization – both on the ice as well as on your website. Nice job. - Paul D. I am sorry for the delayed letter of thanks that I should have already sent to you and the entire staff of the Condors and the Rabobank center. My wife Betty and I were had tickets to attend the preseason game between your Condors and our Ice Dogs on October 14. Our tickets were waiting for us at will call and it was a very short wait to be admitted to the arena. About 5 minutes after admission my wife went into anaphylaxis shock. Although I did use the epipen on her to counteract the condition she passed out. The staff members were there with help almost immediately and had things under control. They carried her up the steep stairway from row F and placed her on a gurney and then transferred her to a waiting ambulance. Although our seats and tickets went wasted we are grateful for the immediate response by all involved. Everyone was genuinely concerned and even fans asked about Betty when they came down here to the games in Long Beach. Some even gave her hugs in relief that she was ok. The short ride to Mercy Hospital was not a cheap one, but the care that was given to my wife was priceless. Even the staff at Mercy Hospital were wonderful. They made both of us feel like the worst was over and my wife was getting the best of care. They admitted her for the evening just to be sure that she did not have a relapse which was a good thing because she did have a relapse about an hour and a half later and should we have been on the road coming back to Long Beach I am sure we would not have gotten medical attention as quickly. This could have been fatal. We are going to try to make the game this coming Friday. Again I wish to thank everyone involved in assisting my wife in her time of desperate need. Please share this email with all involved. -- Joe F. I would like to write a little something about the Bakersfield
Condors. I was reading the Blog on the website and I happened
to come across the article about my son. I am very happy to see
Nathan had some impact on the fans and the organization. Even
though Nathan did not stay with the Condors this season, he gained
valuable experience from the camp. Not only did the organization
grant him a try out, they actually helped Nathan out after he
had been released. Nathan had to stay in Bakersfield for a couple
of days until he knew where he would be going. Marty, Mark and
staff were very helpful in letting Nathan remain there to weigh
his options. I spoke to Marty personally today, thanking him for
everything he has done to help my son out. Nathan is along way
from home and to have someone there to lend a hand to my son meant
alot to Nathan and Me. I want to thank the Condor's organization
for all they have done, and wish them success in the upcoming
season. You truely are classy organization.
-- Gary D. I wanted to take time out and say congratulations on receiving the "ECHL Web Site of the Year" award. As a fellow Information Technology professional (as well as Condor fan) I am well aware of the time and effort in developing and maintaining complex technology projects/systems. Often what we do is done "behind the scenes", with little acknowledgement, and it is nice to see the ECHL recognizing the work of the IT staff, whose work is so critical to the every day operations of your organization. Once again, congratulations to you, and the Bakersfield Condors staff, for representing Bakersfield in a professional manner. I wish you continued success for the 2005-2006 season. -- Jason G. Just a quick note concerning the new Web broadcasts. I attempted to order the Johnstown game today but was unable to successfully run the video. They had confirmed my order(s) via e-mail. I wrote them back explaining my problems. In short they quickly credited my charges & worked to resolve the problems by e-mail. When the E-mail solutions failed one of the Tech guys called me @ home & walked me through a workaround. I was able to watch the last 1/2 of the game (free). The work around will allow me to continue the service. B2 seems an excellent choice & I could not be happier with their service. Go Condors. -- Scott G. Presidential Support :
Fans Respond to the Media Editorial Boycotting the Condors I'd love to say a few things about the "Channel 23 Boycott" First,I'm a fan of hockey, and a fan of all the old WCHL teams, but primarily the Ice Dogs. When I saw what this person said,I laughed so hard I snorted diet coke out of my nose!!!!What a moron!!!!As for pride,I'm proud of the Condors too.If I wasn't in Kuwait, and back home,I would of taken my wife, and my kids all the way to Bako, with my Ice Dogs jersey as a show of unity. Then I'd be bringing home a Condor jersey!!!!Keep playing hard, and I'll look forward to our first ever playoff meeting. - SPC Sturms 23 must really be hurting in the ratings to pull this stunt. What a lousy way for a station to bash a first class organization like the Condors. I think it may also have something to do with 17 news being a proud sponsor of the Condors. Jealosy and envy of a more prominent news station maybe? I think a boycott of 23abc and bad hair pieces are in order. Huh Mr jahelka? - J.B. Wow, I totally agree....Shame on you channel 23. To incite a boycott of the Condors, is absolutely craziness. Maybe we need to boycott channel 23? Maybe before you speak next time, you will take some time and get your facts straight and stop over reacting to something that you obviously do not understand. Even my 11 year old little girl knew what the promotions intent was. Reporting like this is typical of the liberal area's of California not here in Condortown. - D.S.
What's happened here is that we've all been tricked! We've been tricked into going to this channel's website, posting and talking about it therefore we're encouraging others to do the same. Time to stop cycle but first: It is clear that the writer of this editorial is out-of-line and has some personal problem with the Condors organization and Matt Riley. It is clear that it is sad he elected to use his work and position in the media to express his personal and inflammatory views. It should be clear to Channel 23 that this particular employee has compromised the station perception and integrity in Bakersfield and outside the city. I, like another fellow poster, am a former employee but also a native of Bakersfield. I couldn't be prouder to have been associated with the Condors organization and I could't be prouder to see all these post from others in the community recognizing the Condors contribution to the Bakersfield community. It makes the long 16 hour days, one Sunday off a month, one weekend off a season worth it for all the Condors employees to know that this editorial has and will backfired. The writer of this editorial and Channel 23 need to publicly apologize to the Condors players, its hardworking staff members, Matt Riley and the people of my hometown. - John D. Get a sense of humor! It's a hockey game. Self-righteous, over-reacting piety that tries to take advantage of a political hot button issue really irritates me. Hocky fights are not the cause of violence in this town. Gangs are. Boycotting an organization that does so much good in a community because of a tongue-in-cheek promotion is beyond silly. I'm sorry 23News allowed this editorial, because I will now be boycotting 23News. - C.B. Are you kidding me? Don't you have something else you should be "reporting" on? As a former employee of the Bakersfield Condors, it appears to me you didn't do much research before you decided to blast an organization that gives so much back to Bakersfield. First, your comment, "Bakersfield should be proud of the Condors. Instead, we're ashamed." Bakersfield has no reason to be ashamed of the Condors. Bakersfield has every reason to be proud of the Condors. Can you name one local organization that has generated more and gets more direct national attention than the Condors? I watched two weeks of the media Super Bowl craziness and never once heard that Joey Porter was from Bakersfield. Second, "Hi pot, I'm kettle, have we met". Let see what was on Ch. 23 tonight, shall we. First the evening gets started with a compelling show called "Wife Swap". Ok, I don't like my current wife, so if I trade her for another one, get a little TV gig, I'm sure my life will be better. I'll tell my kids that as they grow older they don't really have to take marriage seriously because they can always make some money and "swap" out their spouse. This show is followed by "The Bachelor: Paris" enough said there. I'm a loser so I'll try out for a show that they will hook me up with beautiful women that really won't love me and I'll pick them for my wife. If I'm not happy maybe, just maybe, I can get on that show "Wife Swap" and try another wife out. I know I would rather spend my night with my wife (yes, my real wife) and my two sons at a Condors game. Not in front of "the boob tube" as my Dad used to call it. Third, What? When was the last time ch 23 News led a broadcast with a happy story? How about a story about the Drs that are saving babies everyday in the NICU at Memorial Hospital. I just can't believe that you thought it was a good idea to "boycott the Condors". Please for the better of Bakersfield, do a 23 editorial on the fact that Bakersfield is ranked has having the 3rd worst air quality in America. Something that actually has importance to its citizens. I hope my words aren't too harsh and you post my comments. I noticed that there were 5 replies to this but I couldn't see any of them. It seems funny to me that you are aloud to go on the internet and verbally abuse a person (Riley) and an organization, but when the replies come in you are able to moderate them and possibly post the ones you want. I truly hope to read this on your web page. Oh, and for those that want to continue the "boycott" of the Condors, on ch 23 ABC Wednesday night (the next Condors game) you can tune into "Lost". - John Ayre Shame on you 23 for calling a boycott against our Condors. For years the Condor organization has been a very involved part of our community, and for you to condemn them for promoting a part of the game, that is absurd. What's next, boycotting BC football because they hit to hard, come on. This is not San Francisco or Berkley, this town was founded by, and still populated by, hard working people who take things for what they are, in this case a HOCKEY game. - Kevin M. What a "doof"! It's clear you know little if anything about the game of hockey. Your editorial suggests that the promotion was aimed at the fans, hoping they would fight. Anyone with knowledge of hockey would understand that "fighting" betwen players is part of the game. Ever heard the saying "I went to a fight and a hockey game broke out"? Why don't you try coming to a game and learning something about the sport? I can assure you that you won't get beat up if you sit in our section! - Lynda P. This was probably the most ridiculous news story I have seen, thanks for making me laugh! If you would have done your research you would have found that ONLY in professional hockey are fights allowed. There is a time and place for such things. I would like to note, who are you to say Bakersfield is ashamed of the Condors? It sounds like you have a personal vendetta against the Condors general manager and forgot to mention all the wonderful things the organization does for the community. Just to name a few?teddy bear toss, coat drives, and blood donations. I am glad that you have made my decision to watch another local news channel that much easier. I won't hold your absurd comments against Mike Hart; he is great guy! - L.G. Mr. Craig Jahelka in hockey terms you would be referred to as an "instigator" and us hockey fans all know what comes soon after and instigator is challenged for his actions or careless words - we call it a "turtle" response. Will Mr. Jahelka follow suit? Will he continue to stand tall as his comments are scrutinized? Will his fellow teammates stand proudly by him? Or as I suspect will we see heads begin to drop and be retracted? I want everyone to know that I proudly support the Bakersfield Condors! I ask that all Bakersfield Condor fans unite and call on everyone we know to boycott 23ABC until they publicly apologize for this ridiculous editorial!! - Susan C. You can't be serious! Have you ever attended a Condors game? Probably not, or you wouldn't be taking this completely out of context. Have you bothered to check into what the Condors have done for this community and local charities. If you had you would see that they continually contribute thousands of dollars to local charities. Your call to have the Bakersfield PD there to "arrest" Matt Riley, proves that you have absolutely no idea what goes on at a hockey game. The Condors put on one of the best family entertainment nights money can buy......You might just give it a try....until then, my family and I (daily 23 news watchers) will be boycotting your channel...Have a nice day! - Teresa M. Hang in there Matt, It would appear that many take themselves way too seriously and others just don't get it. This too will pass. - Troy H. Sorry you're taking flack (according to that article) for the guaranteed fight night. What a joke, people can be pretty petty at times. Dont sweat it. I think most people would agree as the condors are what 2nd or 3rd in attendance in the league. Keep up the good work. See you at the game tomorrow. - Brett G. I liked the idea, but I knew the PC crowd would whine. I'm sure the loudest whiners have never been to a game. - Scott T. The "shame" is on you...how dare you try to turn an evening of fun family entertainment into a blatant attempt to gain notoriety on the backs of innocent victims of violence. I challenge you to research the archives of Channel 23 to see how many times the station used hockey fight footage in the Sports portion of your newscast. This type of over the air broadcast could also be misconstrued as "inciting violence" by the station just to increase viewership and ratings points for revenues. I have been to many local hockey games over the years; including the Condors, Fog and Oilers; and can tell you that since the Condors and the teams of the old West Coast Hockey League merged with the ECHL, fighting has been drastically reduced. The ECHL is primarily a developmental league for the NHL and AHL. The rosters are limited to only a few veterans and leaves little room for bullies or goons. Fighting has always been an integral part of hockey. You might look into the history of fighting in North American hockey. I think you will find that fighting has limited the amount of serious stick related injuries and the willful attempt to injure the star or skill players on the opposing teams. You would also find that in European leagues, where fighting is not allowed, stick related penalties and injuries are much more frequent and severe. Was this a dumb idea? Yes. I think it could be equated to 'Disco Demolition Night' in Chicago or 'Bat Day' at Yankee Stadium, but, it should be limited to just bad judgment and not escalated into something malicious. I would have no problem with the Condors apologizing, and that should be the end of it. You, Mr. Jahelka, should also apologize to the Condors and good people of Bakersfield and Kern County for en-flaming this issue and taking it too far!! I, for one, am not ashamed of the Condors. I do not know the numbers, but I would bet they; with the help of their fans; have raised more money, contributed to more charities, and helped more citizens and children than just about any private organization in our area. I am "proud of the Condors" and "proud" to be a fan. - Jerry W. I think you are out of your mind. You have no clue to what they were trying to do and you sound like a little child with your ranting and raving. I have been a season ticket holder for years. There are fights between the players at almost every game. Watch NFL hockey one time and see that it is part of the game. Professional football have fights all the time. Most of them short lived. Boxing , Karate and Kickboxing are much more violent but your station shows it all the time. You are using your power of the media to try and influence people to boycott the game. It won't work. Instead I believe they will boycott channel 23. I for one am not going to watch your station and will be vocal to do so. I am part of a large family here in Bakersfield and will let all know how I feel. Your response is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Comparing it to criminal activity. grow up and get your facts correct. I for one will now Boycott Channel 23 and I hope your sponsors will be happy when thousands of condors fans will do the same. You are a discrace to the people of Bakersfield. - Scott B. You're an Idiot. "How's the seven day forecast, Bob?" You are part of a much bigger and more dire problem in this country - a "journalist" who cannot just report the news as it happens but needs to incite people simply to garner viewership. Let's scare the locals into watching your self-righteous indignation. Your station runs programming that extends so far beyond what you cite as poor taste that your commentary would be hilarious if it weren't so shamefully hypocritical. Do us a favor and get a job on the Food Network showing us the inner workings of an m&m factory. By the way, nice hairpiece. - W.J. I never watch that channel, because I find it boring, except for Mike Hart who does a great job for the Condors. I felt really awful for him, to do the news at 5, then come to the game at 6..that had to be a tough position to be in. - Lori H. He's an idiot for his commentary and your email was a wonderful retort. Why don't we get a tape of 23's newscast and prime-time programming and go on the air and provide a count of the number of violent acts shown and discussed on his station last night. p.s. the Top Story on 23's website is about the mass murder of 148 people. p.p.s.s. Boxing has its own section on the sports page of their website. Maybe he should be arrested? - Kevin B. I’m so sick of hearing about fighting in hockey when millions of $ are made on every single title bout every year, held in front of sold out crowds dressed in suits and tuxedos. I read a study recently that suggested the average child witnesses approximately 200,000 violent acts on television by the time they turn 18. Meanwhile primetime programming routinely pushes the boundaries of acceptable content and hit television shows include terrorism, child molestation, rape, murder, child pornography, infidelity, sexual perversion and more. All for a good laugh or so their ratings will fetch them a higher rate for an alcohol ad. Basically, I think Jahelka’s a disgusting, smug, hypocrite. Why doesn’t he spend his time worrying about the gross polluters in the central valley so his children can someday breathe the air in Bakersfield without asthma instead of worrying about a hockey game that he knows nothing about? Alright. I’m done. - Kevin B. I've been following the "Guaranteed Fight Night" controversy over the past few days. Just wanted to let you know that I've been praying for you. Criticism is never fun, but it seems to come with the job of leader. I'm praying that God will use the criticism to strengthen your character like fire tempers steel. I've appreciated the opportunity to work with the Condors players over the last few months in chapel services. You've got a great organization with some fantastic people. I'm in Colorado this week, but please let me know how I can be of service to you, the team, and the front office when I return. David L. I'm boycotting 23NEWS - and I told them so. Your response was great!!! GO CONDORS!!!!! Cheryl B. due to prior commitments i was unable to make the game tonight & now after reading this article i am truely sorry that i missed it. my undying support goes out to our CONDORS !!! GO KICK SOME FRESNO TALE. - Robert F. Shame on you. Perhaps you should look inside your own "house" before passing judgment on another organization. Your television station carries shows which advertise and show more violence than I have ever seen at a Condors hockey game. I have been a season ticket holder for two years. The entertainment that myself and my family see at the Condors games is definitely a "family" experience. I cannot say the same for your network. Perhaps it is you who should be "arrested" for allowing your network to show some of it's shameless violence, and sexually suggestive shows. If there is an apology due perhaps it is you who should apologize to us for your stations actions. Well, at least we know now that channel 23 is in a word hypocritical. - John K. I hope like many of us have already done. The Condor fans of Bakersfield step up and voice their opinion about the ridiculous request to boycott our team last night by channel 23. There is a lot being said on their web page. - Dottie S. The Condors are part of the fabric that makes Bakersfield. We are all proud to have the Condors as part of our community. The bottom line is that there are several other TV stations in town but only one Condors Hockey. Looks like KGET will be getting my viewing pleasure from this point forward. Matthew Riley should be promoted to Mayor for his efforts. Nobody beats the Condors - Steve V. Now that there’s a moment to reflect before moving on I wanted to take this opportunity to say thanks for our partnership and all the activities this year. I am fortunate that I get to “speak from two vantage points” with my association with the Condors. As a local business and an avid fan my perspective of your organization and its staff has always generated a sense of pride in being involved with it and its success. It has been an honor and a real pleasure to have our two organizations names together in 2006-2007 and I look forward to working with you and your staff next season. My sincere wishes that you and yours, along with the Condor family, have a great summer. - David H. We want to thank everyone for a great record breaking season. As usual Greg Lowe did a great job for us all year. This note is also for Marty Raymond, his staff, Greg Lowe and especially the TEAM!!!! The TEAM played as a complete team and never gave up!!! We cant wait for 2007 - 2008 season. - Clint & Anna B. I want to thank Marty, Mar,, and the Team for a great year! I know it didn't turn out the way we wanted, but, I am still proud of the effort.
