Hockey-thon raises $31,427 for Links for Life

Saturday, Apr. 10 
The Condors host Game 3 of the National Conference Quarterfinals against the Victoria Salmon Kings at 7 pm. Marvel Comics superhero Ironman will make an appearance and be available for pictures at the photo booth. All fans in attendance will receive Red Riot Rally Towels, sponsored by ABC23, Goodwill Industries and Cal Water.
Sunday, Apr. 11
If necessary, Game 4 of the National Conference Quarterfinals will continue at 6 pm between the Condors and Salmon Kings, presented by ABC23, Goodwill Industries and Cal Water.
Monday, Apr. 12
If necessary, Game 5 of the National Conference Quarterfinals will take place at 7 pm between the Condors and Salmon Kings, presented by ABC23, Goodwill Industries and Cal Water.
Blood Drive brings in more than 344 gallons
For the sixth year in a row, the Condors proudly contributed to the local blood drive effort. Teaming up with Houchin Blood Bank, the Condors held Blood Drive Month in March, presented by My 45 and KUZZ 107.9. With help from the Condors, Houchin Blood Bank received more than 344 gallons of blood from 2,758 participants in the month of March. Blood donors in the month of March received $1 admission to the Condors game on Tuesday, March 30.
“We love our partnership with the Condors and KUZZ,” said Houchin Blood Bank Community Development Account Manager Tracy Hunter. “We’re thankful of the effort the two organizations made to help promote donating blood. We’re proud to have the Condors on board.”
Hockey-thon raises money for Links for Life
The sixth annual Condors Fighting Cancer Hockey-thon, which took place the weekend of March 19-20, raised $31,427 for Links for Life. Money was raised through a variety of means, including pledges and souvenir auctions. The event was highlighted by round-robin games played at the Bakersfield Ice Sports Center overnight and an alumni/celebrity game at the Rabobank Arena on Saturday, March 20. The festivities were bookended by two Condors games.
