WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 5:

Baby Cal will be on hand for the 3rd Annual Make-A-Wish Heroes & Helmets for Hope event at the lot across from KGET-TV 17 Studios at 22nd & L Street. Drive-thru from 11am – 1pm for a deep pit lunch and help support Wishes of Kern County children. Lunches will also be available in the parking lot of Roadhouse Grill on Rosedale Hwy.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 8:

Colonel Claw’d welcomes home Bakersfield’s own Jake Varner as he receives a key to the city during a public reception taking place at Mill Creek Park at 10am. Varner won wrestling Gold in the 2012 London Olympics.

Join Colonel Claw’d at the 3rd Annual Be a Hero for Kids with Cancer at Chuy’s Mesquite Grill – 8660 Rosedale Hwy from 1-5pm. The head-shaving event raises money for childhood cancer research and also shows solidarity for children fighting cancer.

Condors Front Office staff will attend Village Fest 2012 at Kern County Museum. The event features beer and wine tastings along with food and live music. Stop by the Condors table to find out about current specials and promotions. Proceeds of Village Fest benefit Children’s Advocate Resource Endowment (C.A.R.E).

The 2012 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings mascot Bailey, the Ice Crew Girls, and the Street Team will be on hand to help the Condors drop the puck on Opening Night (October 14) while the always popular Star Wars cast will make their way back to Condorstown on October 20th.
