Condors Weekly: Homestand Continues this Weekend

CONDORSTOWN, Calif. – The Bakersfield Condors welcomed the San Francisco Bulls to Condorstown for the first time ever and split a weekend series, taking Saturday’s game in a shootout. The team now plays their final two home games of October on Friday and Saturday night before heading to Stockton on Sunday.

The Condors received goals from C Levi Nelson, F Brett Perlini, and C Parker Stanfield, but could not overcome a San Francisco third-period charge and fell, 5-3. Stanfield’s goal in the third period tied the game at 2-2 and Perlini’s cut the ensuing deficit to 4-3, but that would be as close as the Condors would get.

RW Alex Hudson extended his point streak to three games with a first period tally as the Condors won for the first time on home ice in a shootout, 2-1. After a scoreless overtime, F Brett Perlini was the lone Condor to score in a shootout as G Scott Greenham made it stand up, stopping all five shootout attempts. Greenham made 24 saves in regulations and overtime to earn his first win of the season.

  • F Alex Hudson (1g-1a) and F Evan Trupp (0g-2a) [Below]each recorded points in both games on the weekend. Both players have three-game point streaks.
  • The Condors were assigned F Tyler Brenner by the Toronto Maple Leafs (NHL) from the Toronto Marlies (AHL) before Saturday’s game.
  • D Joe Rogalski made his professional debut on Saturday night.
  • G Scott Greenham was perfect (5-for-5) in the team’s shootout victory on Saturday. This first shootout of his pro career. He is now 3-2-0 with Bakersfield dating back to last season.
  • F Brett Perlini was the lone Condor to score in Saturday’s shootout, his first shootout goal as a pro.
