Condors C Nicholas Tremblay named ECHL Player of the Week
“We’re happy to have Nick here in Condorstown,” said Condors Head Coach Matt O’Dette. “He’s bolstered our offense immediately and we’re looking forward to continued success from him this season.”
Tremblay was signed on Friday and immediately impacted the roster, scoring a power-play goal in the Condors 5-0 victory. On Saturday, the 24-year old set a Condors season-high for points in a game with a four-point night (2g-2a) in the team’s 6-2 win over Idaho. He capped the week off on a high with three points (1g-2a), including the game-winning tally as the Condors polished off a perfect weekend in San Francisco, 4-2.
A sixth round (#173 overall) selection of the Boston Bruins in the 2008 National Hockey League Entry Draft, Tremblay wrapped up his collegiate career at Clarkson University in 2011-12 with 88 points (33g-55a) in 143 career games.
He began his professional career at the end of last season, playing four games with the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League (AHL) potting one goal and adding one assist for two points.
On behalf of Nicholas Tremblay, a case of pucks will be donated to a Bakersfield youth hockey organization by Sher-Wood Hockey, the exclusive puck provider of the ECHL.
