Condors Captain Burgdoerfer wills the team to 4-3 shootout victory
Post-game comments from O’Dette and Burgdoerfer
Things got off to a physical start as Condors F Brett Lyon and Grizzlies F David Eddy dropped the mitts off the opening faceoff in an entertaining bout. It gave the Condors a boost as D Erik Burgdoerfer rifled home his third of the season at the 9:06 mark off a great feed from RW Scott Freeman, and the Condors took a 1-0 lead. G Brian Stewart made it hold up, denying 14 Utah shot attempts as Bakersfield carried the 1-0 lead with them into the first intermission.

After the game, the Condors auctioned off their jerseys from the evening. The sweaters featured the 15th anniversary logo on the front, feathers down the sleeves, and the entire list of Condors season ticket holders wrapped around the body. The auction raised $18,600 for the Petroleum Shrine Club (to be provided to the Shriner’s Hospital for Kids). LW Jacob Lagace drew the highest bid on the night, with his jersey fetching $3,000.
They return home to help you show your crazy support for Condorstown on Friday, Mar. 22 when they host the Wranglers for Mohawk Giveaway Night, sponsored by My 45, Kelly 95.3 and Cal Water.
