ALUMNI UPDATE: Sexton into East Finals – Robins in Game Six Tonight
We’re down to two alums left playing this season. When you’re playing hockey this late in the year, you must be doing something right. And these two certainly fit that bill.
AHL
Dan Sexton (Syracuse Crunch) – The Crunch swept the second-seeded Springfield Falcons out in the second round. They now move on to the Eastern Conference Finals and await the winner of the Providence – Wilkes-Barre/Scranton series. Sexton has five points (2g-3a) in seven games along with a plus-4 (+4) rating.
Bobby Robins (Providence Bruins) – The Baby B’s raced out to a 3-0 series lead on the Penguins, but have since dropped two in a row as Wilkes-Barre/Scranton has fought their way back into the series. Robins and the B’s didn’t go down without a fight though in game five as the former Condors enforcer had a fighting major and 10 minutes worth of penalties in a 4-0 loss. Bobby has five major penalties through 10 games and leads the AHL in playoff penalty minutes with 63. Game six is tonight in Providence.
