Condors can’t make grade in loss to Thunder

CONDORSTOWN, Calif. – Despite having thousands of screaming school kids cheering against them, the Stockton Thunder (7-3-0-0, 14pts) raced out to a 3-0 opening period lead and cruised to a 6-2 victory over the Bakersfield Condors (1-9-0-1, 3pts) Thursday morning in front of 6,402 at Rabobank Arena in the annual Field Trip Day Game.

Saturday the Condors host the Ontario Reign for a 7 p.m. showdown. The first 2,000 fans 17 and under will get their choice between a 49ers or a Raiders youth football, sponsored by Fox Sports Radio 970 AM and Bakersfield Marriott. The first team whose footballs run out will be determined the favorite NFL team of Condorstown. The Oakland Raiderettes also will be in attendance, sponsored by Bud Light.
