Tonight is meeting two of 11 on the campaign and the front end of a home-and-home series. Both teams head to Daly City tomorrow night for a 7:30 p.m. meeting at the Cow Palace.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
Bakersfield earned a split over the weekend in Ontario, dropping Friday’s game 2-1 and then rebounded with a 2-1 victory on Saturday. In Saturday’s win, the team fired just 12 shots on G Michael Hutchinson, but two found the back of the net in the third period off the sticks of RW Jordan Knackstedt and LW Michael Neal. G Chet Pickard evened his record to 2-2-0 on the season as he made 22 stops.
CONDORS NOTES
Bakersfield killed off all eight power play attempts from Ontario over the weekend… Pickard leads the ECHL with a perfect 100% (5-5) save percentage in shootouts this season… Both players assigned to Bakersfield yesterday, G Tyler Bunz and LW Kale Kessy, were teammates with Medicine Hat in the Western Hockey League… D Joey Leach earned his first pro fighting major on Saturday in a bout with Reign captain Derek Couture… The Condors are seventh in the league, allowing just 26.87 shots per game… Captain Joel Broda celebrated his 24th birthday on Sunday.
