Condors Weekly: Condors gaining ground with explosive offense
CONDORSTOWN – The Bakersfield Condors rolled through a two-game sweep of the Utah Grizzlies on home ice last week, and had a near-miss in wild affair in Stockton on Sunday. They scored 14 goals on the weekend while going 2-1-0-0. Bakersfield holds a 7-14-0-1 record, with 15 points in the standings, one point behind Utah for 8th place and three points behind Las Vegas for 7th.
The Condors travel to Idaho for a three-game series against the Steelheads this week, with games on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. They are back on home ice after Christmas with Kids In Free Night on Dec. 26 (vs. Las Vegas Wranglers) and an appearance by Thor on Dec. 29 (vs. Idaho Steelheads).

The Condors picked up wins of 4-3 and 5-3 on Friday and Saturday nights, both against the Utah Grizzlies on home ice. F Spencer Bennett had two goals in Friday’s game while D Erik Burgdoerfer (pictured) had two goals on Saturday, including a penalty shot. C Gary Steffes scored twice on Sunday in a wild affair in Stockton, a 6-5 loss to wrap up the weekend.
