Weekly Update: Condors return home this weekend
CONDORSTOWN, Calif. – The Bakersfield Condors, owned by the Edmonton Oilers, escaped Alaska last weekend with a third period rally for a victory on Sunday. Bakersfield went 1-2-0-0 in their three game set with a shorthanded roster and a defenseman playing forward in the finale. They return to Bakersfield where they will host their next three games, and six of their next eight.
Bakersfield is in 7th place in the Western Conference, at 28-24-2-3 and 61 points in the standings. Although they have more points than 6th place Stockton, the Thunder have a better win pct so they remain in front. They trail this weekend’s opponent, 4th place Idaho, by just six points.
Saturday, Mar. 8 – ALASKA 4 vs. Condors 2
Sunday, Mar. 9 – Condors 3 vs. ALASKA 2 (SO)
