Condors v Idaho – TONIGHT

The Bakersfield Condors begin a three-game homestand with thefirst of two againt the visiting Idaho Steelheads. Bakersfield plays six of their next eight games at Rabobank Arena and 10 of their final 15 games of the regular season. Overall, the Condors have had good success against the Steelheads this season with six wins in nine games, including two wins at home. This is the third meeting of the season between the two sides in Bakersfield and the Condors have outscored Idaho 10-1 in those two contests.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
After dropping the first two games in Anchorage, the Condors responded with a come-from-behind 3-2 shootout win on Sunday against the Western Conference leading Alaska Aces. LW Andrew Carroll scored in regulation, picked up his 13th fight of the season, and scored the shootout game-winner to help the Condors pick up two points. G Laurent Brossoit stopped 36 of 38 shots during regulation and overtime before stopping seven of eight in the shootout.

Idaho fell behind early and could not overcome the Ontario Reign on Wednesday, dropping a 4-3 decision at Citizens Business Bank Arena. F Brock Montgomery had a multi-point night with a goal and an assist. F Ryan Murphy, no not the Condors assistant coach, scored his first goal as a Steelhead in the loss.  

CONDORS NOTES
The Condors are 14-3-1-0 in their last 18 home games and currently ride a seven-game point streak with a 6-0-1-0 mark… G Laurent Brossoit earned his 20th win of the season on Sunday, third most in the ECHL. He leads the league in shutouts (7), is t-1st in goals-against average (1.92), and second in save percentage (.928)… D Travis Gawryletz played forward on Sunday for a shorthanded Condors squad, but is expected to return to the blue line tonight… D Erik Burgdoerfer is fourth among ECHL d-men with a 12.2% shooting percentage (10 goals on 82 shots).

STEELHEADS NOTES
F Taylor Vause has 10 goals on 37 shots for Idaho good for a 27.0% shooting percentage, 2nd in the ECHL… The Steelheads have scored a league-high 72 goals in the third period… F William Rapuzzi, a college teammate of Condors D Joe Marciano, is second in rookie scoring with 48 points (15g-33a)… Idaho leads the league, averaging 20.28 penalty minutes per contest… The Steelheads have the fourth best power play in the ECHL at 17.9%.
