Schaber named ECHL Player of the Week

CONDORSTOWN, Calif. – The Bakersfield Condors, owned by the Edmonton Oilers, announced today that LW Chase Schaberhas been named the Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for March 31-April 6. It is the fourth weekly ECHL award the Condors have won this season and the first for Schaber.
SCHABER – stats

  • Led the ECHL in scoring last week with six goals and twoassists for eight points as the team went 4-0-0 on the week
  • Tied a Condors record with a four-goal performance in Las Vegas on April 1 and finished with five points (4g-1a)
  • Scored twice on Sunday, April 6 in the third period, including the game-winner, to propel the team to a 4-2 win over the Wranglers; his second game-winning goal of the week
  • Third on the team in scoring with 43 points (17g-26a) in 61 games this season
  • Tied for 12th among rookies in scoring

In other ECHL news, G Laurent Brossoit was named runner-up for ECHL Goaltender of the Week after going 3-0-0 with a 1.95 goals-against average and a .929 save percentage. He tied the ECHL record with his 8th shutout of the season on Tuesday, April 1 in Las Vegas.
