Weekly update: Condors host Stockton this weekend in 2nd round action
CONDORSTOWN, Calif. – The Bakersfield Condors, owned by the Edmonton Oilers, disposed of the Utah Grizzlies in five games in their opening round matchup, and have advanced to take on the Stockton Thunder. The series commences Friday night in Bakersfield.
The #7 seeded Stockton Thunder defeated the Pacific Division champion Ontario Reign in a four-game sweep to earn the right to advance.

Notes from the Nest:
- G Laurent Brossoit set a new Condors record with his second shutout of the playoffs. Rejean Beauchemin and J.P. Levasseur recorded the other playoff shutouts in team history.
- F Andrew Carroll tied the all-time Condors playoff mark with two game-winning goals in the first round.
- D Joey Leach was +7 in the opening round series. That is tied for the league lead.
- D Collin Bowman scored twice in the first round and leads all Condors d-men in scoring with four points.
- All but two skaters for Bakersfield in the first round got on the scoresheet with at least one point.
- The five-goal triumph in Game 5 was the Condors largest margin of victory ever in the playoffs.
- F Nick MacNeil, who returned home late in the regular season to complete his university degree, has rejoined the team.
