DRAKE CAGGIULA SIGNS WITH OILERS
- The Edmonton Oilers signed one of the top college free agents, winger Drake Caggiula (cah-JOO-lah), on Saturday to a two-year entry level contract
- The 21-year old had 51 points (25g-26a) in 39 games with the University of North Dakota this season as the team captured the NCAA National Championship
- Edmonton Oilers reporter Chris Wescott sat down with Caggiula on why he picked the Oilers organization
RUSSELL JOINS OIL COUNTRY
- The Oilers also signed 6’1″, 205 lbs. winger Patrick Russell from St. Cloud State on Monday to a two-year entry level contract
- A native of Holte, Denmark, Russell was second on the Huskies with 41 points (20g-21a) in 41 games this season as a sophomore
McDAVID JERSEY AUCTION TO BENEFIT LLS ENDS THURSDAY
- A one-of-a-kind signed Connor McDavid Condors practice jersey is up for auction through the Condors Community Foundation
- Proceeds benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society

MIXED BAG: A BUNCH OF STUFF THAT FITS UNDER ONE HEADLINE
- Two NHL teams hired new head coaches over the weekend: Bruce Boudreau joined the Minnesota Wild and Guy Boucher was named head coach of the Ottawa Senators
- The Tampa Bay Lightning became the first team to reach the NHL’s conference finals with a Game 5 win over the New York Islanders
- In the AHL, San Diego won Game 3 on Sunday; Ontario leads the series two games to one
- Lake Erie leads Grand Rapids three games to none in the other Western Conference Series
- After falling in game one, the Hershey Bears, with a bunch of former Condors connections, have a 2-1 series lead
