OUTDOOR CLASSIC PREVIEW

CONDORSTOWN, Calif. – The Bakersfield Condors (11-12-4-1) host the Ontario Reign (17-6-5-0) in the Three-Way Chevrolet Condorstown Outdoor Classic presented by Mission Bank tonight at 6 p.m. outdoors at Bakersfield College’s Memorial Stadium. Gates open at 1 p.m. for this historic night. Tickets are available at the Memorial Stadium box office with fans encouraged to arrive early.
The game comes one night after an extremely successful NHL Alumni – Celebrity Game led by Wayne Gretzky and Luc Robitaille outdoors at Memorial Stadium. TONIGHT
The Bakersfield Condors host the American Hockey League’s ninth outdoor game at Bakersfield College’s Memorial Stadium against the Ontario Reign. It is the first home game for the Condors against the Reign this season. Ontario won both previous matchups this year, 3-2 and 4-3 (OT) most recently on December 26.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
The Condors split a weekend, home-and-home series with San Jose. On Friday night, six different goal scorers staked the Condors to a 7-2 victory. On Saturday night, C Anton Lander scored the lone goal in a 4-1 loss at San Jose.

Ontario has won six straight games after a 5-4 win over Stockton in overtime on Saturday night. Four of the six wins have come in overtime. The Reign trailed 4-2 with six minutes to go in the third period, but goals from RW Teddy Purcell and LW Adrian Kempe tied it before C Brett Sutter won it in overtime.

HAMILTON HEADS OUTDORS FOR A RECORD THIRD TIME
Condors captain LW Ryan Hamilton will play in his third AHL Outdoor Game after appearances last season in Sacramento with the Condors and in 2012 as a member of the Toronto Marlies.

CONDORS NOTES
RW Taylor Beck is t-7th in the AHL in scoring with 30 points (9g-21a) despite playing in just 19 games this season… The Condors are 11-2-2-0 when scoring the opening goal of the game. They have not won when not scoring first… Bakersfield is the third team in AHL hsitory to play two outdoor games as Toronto and Hershey have each hosted and been the visitor… RW Anton Slepyshev has nine points (3g-6a) in his last six games.

REIGN NOTES
G Jack Campbell has made 13 conseutive starts. He is tied for the most wins among goaltenders in the AHL with 14… The Reign have the best road record in the Pacific Division at 9-2-4-0 and are 8-1-1-0 in their last 10 games overall… Ontario has played the most extra session games in the AHL with 12. They are 6-5 in overtime and 1-0 in the shootout… On special teams, the Reign power play (27.2%) is tops in the AHL. Their penalty kill is second from the bottom though at 76.1%. Reign Head Coach Mike Stothers will make his third consecutive appearance in the AHL’s All-Star Classic later this month.
