The Edmonton Oilers reassigned C Kyle Platzer to Bakersfield on Nov. 7, 2017

Platzer led the team’s ECHL affiliate, the Wichita Thunder in scoring with 14 points (5g-9a) and was +9 in nine games.

On October 31, 2017 he was named ECHL Player of the Month and on Oct. 24, 2017 he was named ECHL Player of the Week.

In 103 games in the AHL, the Waterloo, Ontario native has 28 points (9g-19a) with Bakersfield and Oklahoma City.
