CONDORSTOWN, Calif. – What’s happening in Condorstown this week? The Edmonton Oilers picked five at the NHL Draft over the weekend and the Condors took home an award in Des Moines, Iowa.
OILERS PICK FIVE AT NHL DRAFT
- The Edmonton Oilers drafted five players over the weekend including No. 10 overall D Evan Bouchard and second round selections C Ryan McLeod and G Olivier Rodrigue
- Edmonton also executed a trade on the weekend, acquiring G Hayden Hawkey from the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for a fifth round selection at next year’s NHL Draft
- D Eric Gryba, who played 24 games with the Condors last season, was placed on unconditional waivers for the purpose of a contract buyout

OILERS DEVELOPMENT CAMP THIS WEEK IN EDMONTON
- 24 players will attend the Edmonton Oilers development camp this week including nine players who spent time in Bakersfield last season
- Condors Head Coach Jay Woodcroft (pictured) will be on hand to lead on-ice sessions for the Oilers prospects
