Cooper Marody notched his third career hat trick on Wednesday and in the process moved into second in the Condors AHL era in goal scoring with 65 goals. He is one goal away from his second straight 20-goal campaign.
BOLSTERED BY THE “B” MEN
“Brad, Broberg, Benson.” Those three were all assigned by the Edmonton Oilers in the past 48 hours. The Condors get their captain Brad Malone back, first round pick Philip Broberg on the blue line, and Tyler Benson who tied for the team lead in scoring last year.
BENSON BACK IN BAKERSFIELD
Tyler Benson was an AHL All-Star in 2019-20, tied for third in the league scoring race last season, and this year scored his first NHL goal with the Edmonton Oilers in February. He leads the Condors AHL era in assists with 107 in 156 games.

Tim Schaller potted his second multi-goal game of the season on Wednesday and hit the 10-goal plateau in the process. Bakersfield now has eight players in double figures in goal scoring.
EVENED UP
The Condors have only allowed five even strength goals in their last four games. Defensively, the team is 11th overall in the league at 2.94 goals against a night.
VINNY BACK AT IT
Vincent Desharnais, along with defensive partner Dmitri Samorukov, was a +4 on Wednesday and is a league-leading +33 on the year.
SKINNER SHUTTING THE DOOR
Stuart Skinner earned his 12th win on Wednesday, stopping 29 of 30. His 2.17 goals-against average is third and his .922 save percentage is fifth among AHL goaltenders.
PLAYOFF PRIMER
Abbotsford is idle tonight, while Colorado hosts Stockton for the first of two. The Condors and Canucks will meet tomorrow night before Abbotsford heads to Ontario Sunday. Currently, Colorado is six points up on the Condors for third in the division, but Bakersfield has three games in hand.
