HOLTY’S BLOG: BLUE LINE SEEING RED
The Condors are off to their best start in the team’s AHL era at 2-0-1, only dropping a point on opening night.
Typos are to be excused in this blog. After all, we got off the bus at 3:30 this morning. But, the blog never sleeps and as I’ll remind you, it’s my blog and I’ll do what I want…
Now for the blog…
How about a hand for the Condors d corps? Without two stalwarts in Philip Broberg and Vinny Desharnais, the blueliners have accounted for five of the team’s nine goals so far this year. Michael Kesselring scored twice last night in the win over Henderson and leads all AHL d-men with three goals so far this year. The three goals matches his season output from a year ago.
James Hamblin is off to another terrific start to the season. After a goal and assist on Sunday, he followed that up with two assists last night. Just pencil him and Seth Griffith in for 20+ goals and 60+ points each.

One player I have been impressed with over three games is Klim Kostin. He’s a big, physical, power forward, but is tremendously skilled around the net. The Condors offense lost roughly 40 goals from a season ago to free agency, but I think the group of Kostin, McKegg, and Janmark (when cleared) easily covers that number.
What a way to get your first as a Condor, Klim! #Condorstown pic.twitter.com/VI3xYmSMiu

You’ve gone this far in the blog and there hasn’t been any food pics yet? Don’t worry Condorstown I have you covered. Broke protocol and had hotel breakfast, which is usually a strict no on the Holty’s Commandments to road food. However, the M Resort, while a terrific hotel, did not have many walkable options for “off-campus” food. Thankfully, the breakfast burrito (only $10!) did the trick.
Normally have a strict no hotel breakfast policy, but this is an exception. Condors and Knights coming up at 7. pic.twitter.com/JiN2e3sYNO

More adventures to come from Tucson (Saturday @ 7, Sunday @ 4).
Until next time Condorstown…
