The Bakersfield Condors (6-3-1, 13pts) won their fourth straight, 2-0, over the San Diego Gulls (4-8-0, 8pts) on Friday. Michael Kesselring (6th) and Raphael Lavoie (2nd) each scored third period goals to break a scoreless deadlock after 40 minutes. Calvin Pickard picked up his third straight win and 17th career AHL shutout, stopping all 20 he faced.
Bakersfield has now outscored teams 16-8 in third periods this season. Tomorrow’s game against Ontario is a battle of the top two teams in the division.
