The Bakersfield Condors have won five straight games and are in the midst of a six-game homestand.
LAST TIME OUT
The Condors capped off a perfect weekend with a 3-1 win over the Ontario Reign Saturday. Filip Engaras scored twice and Ollie Rodrigue stopped 27 of 28 shots for his third win of the season. Colorado earned a split in San Jose with a 3-1 victory on Sunday. Jonas Johansson stopped 28 of 29 for his fourth straight win.
LOCK IT UP
Bakersfield’s five-game winning streak has been a direct result of the team’s strong defensive play. The team has only allowed seven goals in that span and only four in the last four games.
OLLIE! OLLIE!
Ollie Rodrigue continued a strong run of goaltending play for Bakersfield with a 27-save performance on Saturday. It was his second win over Ontario this season. At 2.64 goals against a game, the Condors as a team are 5th in the AHL. Rodrigue is seventh among goaltenders with a 2.02 goals-against average.
BALANCED ATTACK
Through the first 11 games, 18 different Condors have lit the lamp.
ON THE OTHER SIDE
Colorado is tied with the Condors on points, but has played two more games than Bakersfield. Former Condors blueliner Brad Hunt has 11 points (3g-8a) in 13 games in his first season with the Eagles.
FINISH STRONG
Bakersfield is +9 in third period goal differential this season, scoring 17 times and only allowing eight.
