The Condors return home for a brief two-game homestand.
LAST TIME OUT
Carter Savoie scored his fifth of the season with 20 seconds left in regulation as the Condors forced overtime in a 5-4 setback to Coachella Valley last night. Bakersfield rallied from two goals down in the third period.
YOUNG’Ns
All three Condors 20-year old rookies scored last night. Xavier Bourgault deflected home his ninth of the year and his first since Dec. 10. Ty Tullio scored his fourth and had his fist multi-point game with the Condors. Savoie’s goal came with 20 seconds left to force overtime.
ALL CAP
Brad Malone had two assists last night, including on the six-on-five extra attacker tying tally. His 11 assists are tied for second on the Condors and he has eight assists in his last nine games.
TIGHT ONES
Bakersfield has played five consecutive one-goal games. Overall, 19 of the team’s 33 games have been one-goal games (7-10-2).
ROAD LIFE
Tonight is just one of seven home games between Jan 4 and March 3. The team will play 13 of its next 20 games on the road before a seven-game homestand in March. Bakersfield will play 14 home games in the final eight weeks of the season.
RAPH IS RED HOT
Raphael Lavoie had a goal and assist last night to keep his good run going. Since Dec. 20, the Quebec native has nine points (5g-4a) in nine games.
ALL-STAR SETH
Seth Griffith will represent the Condors at the AHL All-Star Classic in Laval in February. He is the team’s leading scorer with 28 points (9g-19a) in 33 games.
ON THE OTHER SIDE
Tucson won both matchups in the Old Pueblo between the two teams back in October. Michael Carcone, who was reassigned to Tucson earlier this week leads the AHL in scoring with 48 points (19g-29a) in 29 games.
