GAME PREVIEW presented by Rodriguez & Associates

Bakersfield heads North of the border for two with Calgary before the AHL All-Star break.

LAST TIME OUT

The Condors scored a season-high seven goals in a 7-3 victory over the Tucson Roadrunners on Tuesday. Michael Kesselring (2g-1a) and Brad Malone (0g-3a) each had three points. Calvin Pickard stopped 32 of 35 for his ninth win of the year.

SIX PACK

Ty Tullio extended his point streak to six games with an assist Tuesday. The 20-year old rookie has 10 points (4g-6a) in his last nine games.

LAVOIE SIZZLING

Raphael Lavoie had a goal and assist on Tuesday to extend his scoring streak to six games. In his last 17 games since Dec. 20, the Quebec native has 19 points (9g-10a).

THREE PEAT

Greg McKegg has points in three straight games (2g-1a) after an assist against the Roadrunners. Both of his linemates (Justin Bailey, Tyler Benson) had multi-point nights on Tuesday.

CLIMBING

The Condors have won three straight and are 5-2-2 in their last nine games. Tuesday’s seven goals were the most this season and the most since they scored six in Henderson in early November.

ALL HE DOES IS SCORE

Michael Kesselring scored twice on Tuesday to retake the AHL goal lead by a d-man. The Condors team record for goals by a blueliner in a season is 13, set by Brad Hunt in 2015-16.

PLUS PLAYER

Alex Peters, along with his partner Kesselring, was +5 on Tuesday, in addition to notching two assists. In 22 games this season, he is +13, five better than his nearest teammate Dino Kambeitz who is +8.

ON THE OTHER SIDE

Calgary is unbeaten in five straight at home (4-0-1) and owns a 15-6-1 (.705) record at the Saddledome. Dating back to last year’s second round playoff series, the Calgary Flames AHL squad has won nine straight against Bakersfield. Their power play is 9/29 against the Condors and they have won three straight one-goal games against the Condors.

WHAT’S NEXT?

The Condors play their final game before the AHL All-Star break tomorrow at 6 p.m. PT in Calgary.
