Condors Open House and Family Day to be held October 2
Meet your 2010-11 Condors at the Annual Open House
Bakersfield, Calif. – The Bakersfield Condors, host of the 2010-11 ECHL All-Star Classic and ECHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild, will be holding their annual Open House and Family Day on Saturday, Oct. 2. Festivities will start at noon at the Bakersfield Ice Sports Center, located at 1325 Q Street.
The summer is finally drawing to a close as fans will have a chance to see the Condors for the first time of the season. Fans are invited to watch the Condors scrimmage from noon until 1:30 p.m. Immediately following the game, the ice will open up for a skate with the team starting at 1:45 p.m. Get autographs, take pictures with the players, and welcome the guys to Bakersfield. Everyone is welcome to participate, and skates can be rented for $3. A limited number of skate rentals are available, so those who own their own pair are encouraged to bring them. The skate will last until 2:30 p.m.
“This is an exciting way to kick-off the 2010-11 All-Star season,” said Condors President Matthew Riley. “It’s a great way for the fans to meet the new players, and for the new players to see the passion that exists in Condorstown.”
The excitement doesn’t end there. Season ticket holders will also be able to pick up their beautifully designed ticket books as well as the coveted Season Ticket Holder Gift – a Condors Snuggie. The Condors will also have the popular Slap-Shot booth and bounce house there, plus mascots Colonel Claw’d, Baby Cal, and Slapshot will hang out with the fans.

The event is open to the public, and admission is free with the donation of two non-perishable food items. The Condors have donated over 19,000 pounds of food over the previous seasons. All food will be donated to the Kern County Food Bank.
