Condors in the Community: Condors out at the Grand Opening of Sports Village Park

Tuesday, Jul. 26

Colonel Claw’d will be at the Kern County Arvin Branch Library located at 201 Campus Dr., from 12 to 1 p.m. Colonel will join the kids during story time and games.

Wednesday, Jul. 27

The Condors will be at the Grand Opening of Sports Village Park located off of Taft Hwy., just West of Ash Rd., this Wednesday fromColsign Noon to 3 p.m. Come out and enjoy the summer sun and stop by the Condors booth to spin the Prize Wheel for a chance to win cool Condors prizes. Also, the Inflatable Slapshot will be on hand for everyone to experience the game of hockey. Colonel Claw’d and Baby Cal will be at the park to entertain the kids, as well.

Thursday, Jul. 28

Colonel Claw’d will be at the Kern County Delano Branch Library located at 925 10th Ave., from 3 to 4 p.m. Colonel will be joining the kids in story time, a book giveaway, and an ice-cream social.

Friday, Jul. 29

The Condors will be at Jastro Park this Friday, located off of Truxtun Ave., just East of Oak St., from 9 to 12 p.m. Come out and enjoy the summer sun and stop by the Condors booth to spin the Prize Wheel for a chance to win cool Condors prizes. The Inflatable Slapshot will be on hand, while Colonel Claw’d and Baby Cal will also be at the park to entertain the kids.

The Condors will be at various Bakersfield City Parks every week during the month of July and August. Check the Condors Community release each Monday to find out when the Condors are coming to your neighborhood.

Summer Reading Program:
Don’t forget that the Summer Reading Program is coming to a close on July 30! Kids who read 10 or more books will be awarded a ticket to a Condors game next season. Stop by your local Kern County Library for more information or call the Condors office at 324-PUCK(7825).

The Condors home opener is just 82 days away, when the ECHL’s newest team, the Colorado Eagles, come to town. Game time is 7 p.m. Ticket packages for the 2011-12 season are now on sale, starting at just $48.
