Condors v. Stockton Game Preview – TONIGHT

The Condors host the Stockton Thunder  on Friday, Feb. 24 for Hans Benson Bobblefist Night, sponsored by KBAK Eyewitness News and Three-Way Automotive Group. The first 2,000 fans 5 and older will get a bobblehead – the head bobbles and so do the fists!

TONIGHT

The Bakersfield Condors return to home ice to take on the Stockton Thunder for the beginning of a three games in three nightsVsSTK - redstretch this weekend. Bakersfield will play host tonight and tomorrow before the series heads north for an afternoon game on Sunday in Stockton. The Condors have picked up two victories against the Thunder this season, including one on home ice on January 6th. It is the fifth of six consecutive meetings between the two sides in Bakersfield, with four games left in the season series after tonight. 

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
Bakersfield ventured to Alaska for three games last weekend and came away with a 4-1 victory in the series opener, before falling by scores of 9-4 and 4-3 in the next two contests. The 9-4 win by the Aces last Saturday put an end to the Condors season-high four-game winning streak. In Sunday’s game, the Condors scored three goals in the final three minutes, but could not come back from the four-goal deficit.

The Thunder went 3-1-0 on a four-game homestand last week, including three consecutive victories. Stockton recorded a Friday win over Idaho before taking back-to-back games against Colorado. F Matt Foy, F Chris D’Alvise, and F Kevin Baker each potted goals in the team’s most recent 3-1 victory over the Eagles.

F Parker Stanfield is on a team-high, seven game point streak (4g-7a)…RW Tyler Helfrich recorded his seventh multi-point game of the season on Sunday (1g-1a)…G Matt Keetley has started the last six games for Bakersfield…F Hans Benson returns to the lineup tonight after missing the last seven games due to injury.
