HOLTY’S BLOG: WE’RE BUSY

Going to be a quick blog today. Sometimes I make up that I’m actually busy, but this time, you can believe that we’re actually busy.

If you’re someone who likes reading lengthy blogs, this blog is not for you. As I’ll remind you, it’s my blog and I’ll do what I want.

Now for the blog…

  • They’re really close on the schedule. Who “they” is, I don’t know. But we’re close people. All I know is doors are closing, phones are ringing and people are whispering. So we’re definitely close.

  • Logo rankings continued this week at The Hockey News. Agree on Iowa, but not sold on Portland being so low and certainly not in agreement on Rockford. How has Stockton not been announced yet?
  • Sat in on a call today for a fantasy hockey site that we could potentially use as a daily fantasy game for Condors games… Would you be interested? Let us know.
  • Lots of cool new merchandise in stock right now in the store. Hats, shirts, novelties and other apparel. You need it. We have it.
  • Friend of the blog @DougPlagens, who was the voice of the Lake Erie Monsters, was named the Florida Panthers radio guy today. He was in Boise at one point. He also made a pit stop in Condorstown and treated me to In and Out with other friend of the blog, @GrizzliesVoice, during their annual #BaseballTrip in 2013. That alone makes him deserving in my book.
  • Strength & Conditioning Coach Patrick Love has arrived meaning the whole crew is here officially. Coaches will head to Edmonton the first week of September to work the rookie camp, Penticton tournament, main camp, and then head back to start work in Condorstown Sept. 27.
  • We had a impromptu specialty jersey pow-wow before leaving work yesterday. All three will be awesome.
  • Like to shoot video? Tweet? Ask people questions? We need interns. Apply here or just send me your resume.

That’s it. Back to work.

Until next time Condorstown…

Ryan Holt enters his 5th season in Condorstown in 2015-16. The Garden Spot inside the County Building is an underrated spot for lunch. Follow him on Twitter @CondorsHolty or shoot him an e-mail rholt@bakersfieldcondors.com with questions or blog ideas.
