Condors went ‘All-In’ for Charity
Wednesday Dec. 7:
You’ll be seeing double on ABC 23’s “Good Morning Kern County” at 6:15 a.m. as twins Jesse and Tyson Gimblett talk about their reunion in Condorstown. Be sure to wake up early and watch the guys as you have your morning cup of coffee.
Thursday Dec. 8:
One of the newest members of the Condors and University of Maine alum Robby Dee will head to Highland High School on Thursday afternoon to present the “Classroom of the Month” in partnership with La Campesina 92.5 FM and Bright House Networks from12-1 p.m. Highland High School is located at 2900 Royal Scots Way in Bakersfield. Dee will talk to the students about the values of a college education and how his hard work has paid dividends on and off the ice.
The Condors will help sort mail at the American Red Cross Kern Chapter’s “Holiday Mail for the Heroes,” event from 6:30-7:30 p.m.Volunteers from the front office will help sort greetings and notes of thanks which will be sent out to service members around the world who will be away from their families this holiday season.
Condors Insider returns to the airwaves on Thursday night from 6-7 p.m. on Fox Sports Radio 970 AM. The show will be available online at www.foxsports970am.com and through the iheartradio app. The Condors broadcast team of Kevin Bartl and Ryan Holt will interview Head Coach Matt O’Dette, give you a behind-the-scenes look at the team, and will tell you all about the happenings around Condorstown!
Friday Dec. 9:
The Condors host the rival Stockton Thunder at 7 p.m. on Pocoyo Night presented by Univision and La Caliente 96.9 FM. Your kids won’t want to miss this Univision and Nick Jr. superstar as he takes pictures and meets with fans throughout the game. Sunday Dec. 11:
A member of the Condors and Baby Cal will attend the fifth annual “Holiday Skating Extravaganza” presented by the non-profit groupChildren joining Children for Success at the Bakersfield Ice Sports Center from 12:30-2:30 p.m. The BISC is located at 1325 Q St., just south of Rabobank Arena.
