Condors in the Community: Condors at three Halloween events

This week in Condorstown:

Monday, Oct. 25

The Bakersfield Condors 13th Annual Charity Golf Classic is underway! This year’s event is being held at Stockdale Country Club, located at 7001 Stockdale Highway. All proceeds from the event will go to the Kern County Youth Homes, which provides a safe, stable and consistent environment for children who have been abused or neglected, and for children with serious emotional and behavioral difficulties. The event has raised more than $56,000 in its history.

Wednesday, Oct. 27

Colonel Claw’d will be at William Penn Elementary located at 2201 San Emidio St. from 3 to 4 p.m. for the Boys and Girls AAAAClub after school program. Colonel will be acting out scenes from a book as it is read aloud by a Condors staff member.

Friday, Oct. 29

Colonel Claw’d will be at Leo B. Hart Elementary located at 9501 Ridge Oak Dr. from 7 to 8 a.m.  Colonel will be working the morning valet as kids will be getting dropped off to school that morning.

Colonel Claw’d will be at Frank West Elementary located at 2400 Benton St. at 1:30 p.m. Colonel will be participating in the Red Ribbon Rally to pump up the kids in the awareness of Drug Free and healthy lives.

Colonel Claw’d will be at Eissler Elementary’s Fall Carnival located at 2901 Eissler St. from 4 to 5 p.m. Colonel will be entertaining the kids as they enjoy game and food booths and will be at the photo booth to take pictures with the kids.

This Friday the Condors return to Rabobank Arena. Come cheer on your Condors as they take on the Stockton Thunder. Everyone in attendance will receive a Condors magnetic schedule,sponsored by ESPN AM 1230 & Three Way Automotive Group. Also thanks to ABC23, SC Architect & Kern County Firefighters it is the first Condors Classroom Champions Night, where students who achieve outstanding attendance levels will receive a complimentary ticket to tonight’s game. Saturday, Oct. 30

Colonel Claw’d will be at Halliburton’s Family Fall Festival which will be held at Stockdale Country Club located at 7001 Stockdale Hwy. from 12 to 2 p.m.

The Condors will be taking on the Alaska Aces at the Rabobank Arena for the Twilight Night sponsored by 106.1 KRAB Radio. Everyone in attendance will receive their choice of a set of glow in the dark fangs (Team Edward) or a werewolf tattoo (Team Jacob).  Dress up as your favorite Twilight saga character and have a chance to win tickets to see U2 (Angels Stadium on June 18) and a Twilight poster signed by the cast.Not into Twilight? No sweat, we’ll hold a regular Halloween costume contest too, with $106 cash and tickets to this year’s All-Star game going to the winner!  In addition,anybody with the name “Edward”, “Jacob” or “Bella” will receive two for one admission into the game by showing your ID. Sunday, Oct. 31

The scariest holiday will be a little less frightening because the Condors will be out in full force at three Halloween events this HAllyear. Baby Cal will be at the Safe Halloween at the Kern County Museum located at 3801 Chester Ave., handing out candy from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Slapshot will be at Olive Drive Church located at 5500 Olive Drive for their annual Family Fun Night from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. And Colonel Claw’d will be at Valley Baptist Church located at 4800 Fruitvale Ave. from 5 to 6 p.m. entertaining the guests who will be enjoying the free Harvest Fest.
