CONDORS IN THE COMMUNITY: Condors Close Out 2012 With Special In Game Recognitions
CHRIS KUSHNERIUK JERSEY – BIDDING ENDS DECEMBER 27:
Help raise funds for Condors own Chris Kushneriuk who is currently battling testicular cancer. The MeiGray Group, the “Official Game-Worn Jersey Source of the ECHL,” has announced the Chris Kushneriuk Charity Auction. From now until December 27, you can bid on one of Chris’s game worn jerseys from the 2011-2012 season.
All proceeds from the auction will go towards helping Chris “Krush” Cancer. Click here to bid now.
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 27:
Watch for Team President Matthew Riley on Good Morning Kern County from 5-7 a.m. on KERO ABC 23. Riley will be talking about the teams promotions and community involvement.
The Condors recognize Bakersfield youth, Morgan Burnard, with a Spirit of Condorstown award for creating Morgan’s Sweet Sixteen Foundation. At 16 years old, Morgan started this foundation to help orphans around the world feel loved.
The first 2,000 fans 5 and older will receive voodoo dolls sponsored by My 45 and 97.3 JACK FM. The dolls are adorned with the names of our biggest rivals, and will allow fans to inflict pain on our opponents. The doors open at 6 p.m. and the puck drops at 7 p.m.
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 29: JAKE VARNER JERSEY AUCTION
In addition to the regular auction and raffle, there will be a Varner style “Kushneriuk #18” jersey auctioned to help Condors player Chris Kushneriuk with the costs of medical treatment to fight testicular cancer.
This is one of several fundraising plans in the works to help Kushneriuk in his recovery. Fans can also purchase purple Kush wrist bands at the Bakersfield Condors Booster Club table on game nights to help fund his treatments. Stay tuned for details about more events in the coming weeks.
